Every bit as much of a legend as grey IMO. Let's also not forget henderson's 2 perfect corners, and cummings' assist for the first. Every one of them is a legend. THANK YOU!!!

Think Stokes was fantastic today but I think it was the fact we played as a unit that won it for us today.Every player was superb. When teams come to play football against us we have a hell of a team and can match anyone in the country.

Stokes was a man on fire. He was pinging shots at goal from every angle and at every opportunity. Tavernier ( who is without doubt a great player) was left in his wake time and time again and simply could not live with our Tony.
MOM for me without question.
It was like Stokes wanted to make up for so many goals he had missed since his arrival. He wanted to demonstrate to all his critics ( and I include myself amongst those at times) that he was far from finished and still capable of delivering a breath-taking performance.

It was a great team performance, no failures, but Stokes pissed all over the Huns; we have been waiting on this since January and it was the difference today.

I said exactly the same thing earlier today.

After went 2 -1 we pressed brilliantly and got the two deserved goals we needed, but apart from that, Stokes was on fire all game.

Also, not Stevenson's biggest fan but the sheer joy on his face when big Grayzo lifted the cup was amazing to see. Deserves it :flag:

MOM in the last 2 finals he's played in. 2013 he ripped us apart, 2016 he made up for that.

Played to the same standard for us as he did against us in 2013. You can't buy class and he has it in spades.

Man was unreal and that's why Stubbs brought him in. Stubbs and Stokes will no be remembered as legends along with the rest and rightly so.

A great team performance but I agree he had the extra bit of class we needed to win the cup. As we've seen the margins between success and failure are so small. Stokes was the difference.

Great that Henderson came on and played his part too - he's never hidden his love for Celtic but he'd run through a wall for Hibs, brilliant attitude for a loan signing.

Great performance from that tackle in the first minute, his 2 well taken goals, winning the corner for that goal, constant running and willingness to present for the ball right to the very end. One of the best performances I have seen in a Hibs top in a long while!

My uncle promised my wee cousin at the start of the season that she could get a dog if Hibs won the Scottish Cup.

It's being named Gray.

My mother can't stand "that IRA-loving idiot" and even she was singing his praises when we spoke after the game.

Stokes may not have scored as many goals as we'd expected, but his all-round play has been excellent and his two goals yesterday were worth waiting for.

Ithink we should defo single him out he was simply unplayable at times and his performance rated 12 out of 10 for me.

The whole squad won it and yesterday they all played played their part, not a failure among them.

Thoroughly deserved and don't forget the tough road we had to get there.

Looking forward to Leith Walk today!

Did he get MotM? The whole team were immense, but Stokes was just that little bit better. I don't think I've ever seen a Hibs team with more heart (scuse the expression!)

He got Sky's man of the match.

Not sure if any announcement was made at the game, I certainly never heard one.

Any chance of keeping him next season?

He's a free agent this summer, right?

After that performance, he might have a long queue of clubs after him.

We should be making him an offer, although our chances are slim.

Not been Stokes biggest fan but he was immense yesterday. Up for it from first minute to last. Did everything we needed from him and more.

Heroes, all of them.

Anthony Stokes (or Anthony Stokes On Loan From Celtuc, as the sky sports commentator calls him) was absolutely brilliant yesterday. He was right up for it from the start and was the difference between the teams. Take a bow.

Praise where praise is due. I have said on many an occasion on here that Stokes disrupted the team since he joined in January resulting in dropped points.

But, no question he was on fire yesterday. Two goals and got the corner for the winner. Must have impressed Brendan Rodgers (if he was watching)

Stokes was amazing yesterday. I remember everyone slating him for Falkirk although he played well and slated me for saying so.

Anyway, I'm away for my Stokes' love in on Stokes' slope!
