I've been waiting a long time for this. For me, this evening, it's a 21 year old Springbank. Great spirit with a tremendous finish, just like Henderson. Anybody else out there who has opened a decent bottle to enjoy?

For me, back from the boozer and probably waste it - but who cares?- is also a Springbank from 1970.

Been saving this for ages!

Just a nice bottle of Morgans Spiced Rum with Coca Cola. Drove home from match today and stopped off for a fish supper to take home. Now on my 4th treble. Feeling very good indeed.

Enjoy the Springbank!

Nothing more special than a simple Glenfiddich for me but it's most hellish tasty nevertheless.

There's a couple of Brewdog beers I've been saving for a special occasion - Abstrakt AB:15 American Strong Ale was cracked open earlier and I'm now enjoying a Paradox Isle of Arran Imperial Stout aged in Isle of Arran whisky barrels. The latter has been in my beer box for several years but I know there will never be a better occasion to drink it than tonight.

Going to have a Jim Beam double black (8 year USA bottle).

It's in my kitchen but I can taste the oak from my living room.

I've still got a bottle of blended 10 year old from when we won the League Cup in 1991. Whilst not exactly top of the range, it's time to crack it open.

I've had a bottle of champagne waiting for this moment for years (I've drank countless bottles since I bought it but this one has become the 'special' bottle) Would have struggled to get it down tonight after the fantastic ammount of lager and vodka I have consumed but it will be enjoyed tommorow in the sunshine (or rain or whatever, I couldn't care less) on Leith Links.

Glad I'm not alone in enjoying some quality moments. Whatever your tipple is tonight, I will raise a glass to all Hibbies out there and wish "sto lat" GGTHH!

To paraphrase Lloyd Bridges in Airplane; I picked one hell of a time to be on a low carb, alcohol free diet!!
