I take it Hibs will want to see this and pick out the culprit who assaulted the Hibs fan/player.

Wasnt an official because all Rangers staff/players had already got into the stadium. May be a fan as hes heading back that way.

I seen that! And they say we're disgraceful! Absolutely terrible, but the Huns are untouchable, wonder if they'll get sanctioned for their secretarian singing and flares. Nope, they'll get away with it as per usual

Couple of other things.

1: there were close to 100 the rangers fans on the pitch wanting square goes. So they invaded the pitch too.

2: we score in the 2nd minute of injury time. Why didn't the police bolster numbers at the gates. They had a couple of minutes notice that we were about the go berserk. Or at least presume that some people would try and get on the pitch.

3: the stewards flung the gates open (possibly rightly so) but it was certainly an air of 'bash on lads'.

4: there were police horses on the pitch when rangers fc won the title at ER. Gers fans were on the cross bar then, goading etc. What punishment did they receive? Were any football banning orders issued?

I agree with every point. Both clubs should be punished, the police/stewards have a lot to answer for. Around 1000 of them and this sort of 1980s stuff still happened. Credit also goes to the rest of the Gers fans who left the stadium when the Hibs fans entered because it couldve descended into chaos.

Yeah J. :greengrin

Poor new club get a taste of there own medicine and boy they don't like it eh.

I can just imagine the new players punching themselves in the changing room so they can show the world how bad Hibs are. No shame.

Great day to be a Hibs fan, let the West coast media write there lies, f*** them as well.

We won the cup, all that matters.

I think giving people who lose a cup final credit for leaving the stadium is taking it a bit far.

Expect them to claim that was the old club and nothing to do with the new club, despite the fact that they will also claim they are the same club who won that title.

If you look closely at this clip around the 4:46 mark you can see (behind stubbs to the left) a steward swing a leg trying to kick/trip up a hibs fan, then in the next shot you can see him do the same near the bottom of the picture.

I work for g4s sometimes and the majority of the hampden staff are zombies so sadly its not that surprising to me

Not sure that is the point that the poster is making. When you see some of the clips posted there are Rangers fans trying to get others on to the pitch to start fighting. The vast majority did not.

When the media want to report on the tax dodging, creditor stiffing, trophy stealing, sectarian loving club/s in Scotland or the corruption that is rife in the SFA, I just might, want to take notice or give a **** what they have to report negatively on anything Hibs.

GGTTH,
No won the big cup since 21/05.

Perhaps they'd like to comment on this one. This is the worst I've seen yet, as a grown hun appears to attempt the abduction of a bairn.

The horses came on at the Rangers end to separate the fans from fighting. Everyone else was just celebrating and left the pitch slowly but in an orderly fashion.

The more that's uttered about this unfortunate incident by fans, officials and media hacks, and the deeper the authorities delve into the minutiae, the more they will find that early accusations and details are invented, exaggerated and twisted. They might just find that the guilt is not one-sided and their craze for 'justice' might end up weaker than at present. They should cut their losses, deal with offenders promptly and get over the fact that Sevco only lost a football match, albeit a very important one.

Wouldnt get worried about what the red tops are saying, I have never bought them, never read them and never will. They are written for the west coast by the west coast, there will be no balance. Just enjoy winning the cup and move on.

Agreed and it's usually telling when the police make no arrests at the time that there wasn't much happening worth arresting folk for. So far we have a photo of a hibs fan approaching Lee Wallace and that's it, out of all the cameras that were at the game, the only horrible violence these papers for their hands on was that. Storm in a teacup.

Sound advice, but I am a journalist and on both personal and professional levels I find that deeply embarrassing, and impossible to ignore.

I write for The Sun from time to time. Everyone derides it (with a certain amount of justification), but they would never run anything like this.

I dont want to click it and give them the satisfaction. There are a lot of outlets that now run content by bloggers, it seems like a way for them to get away with publishing something that they otherwise would never get away with by calling it an opinion piece that doesnt come from someone they employ.

Yes, I'm well aware of this - but where is the right to reply?

The idea that other clubs' fans are 'jealous' of Sevco and that this is the basis on which 'anti-Rangers hatred' is founded is actually quite offensive.

There is nothing, nothing about that disgusting club that I envy.

Aye I agree, any blog piece should have a right to reply, at least a comment section but in this case that would end in chaos. I don't think there is anything we can do in this situation unless some people in the media are willing to speak out on it then no one is going to listen to hibs fans moaning about bent media publishing garbage articles.

That doesn't look like a player, seems he has a hoody under his top and there's no number on his back that I can see.

That same bloke with the suit then went on and sucker punched another Hibby with his back to him in another video.
