Or are we just generally poor away from home?

Or are we just generally poor away from home?

Rangers 4-2 Hibs
Raith Rovers 0-2 Hibs
Falkirk 1-1 Hibs
Morton 0-1 Hibs
Hearts 2-2 Hibs
Livingston 0-0 Hibs
Dumbarton 3-2 Hibs
Queen of the South 1-0 Hibs
Inverness 1-2 Hibs
Raith Rovers 2-1 Hibs
St Mirren 2-2 Hibs
Alloa 1-0 Hibs
Morton 0-0 Hibs
Raith Rovers 1-0 Hibs

3 wins in our last 14 matches away from home in all competitions should help answer that question.

We should go for a new colour next season. I say grey and white stripes.

We ended the 12 fingereds 5 3/4 year run at *********** with a glorious headed goal from a right Hibbie & Captain Geebsie in front of a delirious away support who were so relieved that such a financially doped spawny illegal run was coming to an end. Get the picture that appeared in the EN right after. Purple strips? Nah.

Pished? No header and what's that got to do with purple away strips?

We played very well in it when we won 3-0 at Palmerston.

I think you'll find it's our away form to blame NOT the purple strip

This is Man United esque when they blamed the strip when Southampton put 6 past them at The Dell.

Our form is nothing to do with the strip, however it is a ganting outfit.

And the 4-1 at St Mirren.

Purely from an aesthetic point of view I dislike it, my wife on the other hand thinks it's quote "very nice"

So we've gone from love having a purple away kit again, to using it as a scapegoat for poor performances away from home?

Before some smart alec says anything, I'm not meaning EVERYONE was happy when we unveiled we'd be having a purple away kit.

I'm sure it was announced the away kit sold more than the home last summer. Very popular.

Does anyone really think the colour of our strip makes a difference regarding how we play?

Well teams in Red do far better in Europe than teams in blue!

The only issues some people have mentioned with kit is the home top when Falkirk also choose to wear their home kit when playing them.

The away kit is a great kit, our best performance of the season, 4-1 away to ST Mirren was in that kit. Our away form since January has been abysmal that's nothing to do with the kit

Sounds like I'm married to your wife as well LOL.
At least my wife wears her heart on her short sleeved strip and wears the purple strip to each game because it's a "lovely colour". I can't (daren't) argue with that.

See aw you oh so clever lot who congregate around this website nowadays, apart from the fact there is very little class or originality ever displayed while you "hunt in packs" (copyright John Collins) for the latest to stray a mill or so of your party line, check the effin facts first was a spectacular picture with SO many joyous ecstatic Hibs supporters in the very pic I mentioned as Geebsie in the purple & green strip jumped for joy wi about 3.5k Hibbies behind him, you lot who are so uber nowadays really really couldnae hold a candle to the real fans who kicked about here 10 or 15 ago, but you'lll never be able to find that sort of stuff out because your too busy with the love in with yourselfs to see anything more.

No idea about the rest of your rant but I think the posters point was that the game you are referencing saw Hunter score with his foot and Hibs wear green with green and white striped sleeves. Not a header and we weren't wearing the away kit.

It was the 1st derby win I'd attended (I was 8 FFS) so it's etched in my memory. Video below if you don't believe me:

I've heard it all now.

Think we're sticking with the purple for next year. Last time i checked you could buy the home jersey for £30 from the hibs shop but the away was still full price

It could be that they are top heavy in supplies for the home top and are looking to get rid of it as the away tops always seem more popular than the home strips, or they just make less of them.
