Quick question...

I was going to wait for the seat release in June to buy a ST for next season, however the promise of a Cup Final ticket has prompted me to buy early.

Can you permanently move your ST seat at a later date?

Yes you can. Even into the season I've done it before.

Yes. Your choice now is any seat not currently with an ST. After the date on which ST seats are no longer held you can then change to one that becomes available.

The club have warned that if you purchased tickets today to get the rquired points or purchase a season ticket to make yourself eligible to buy a cup final ticket in the first wave that it may take 24hrs to register on the system.

I renewed with the early bird offer and mine says that too.

No it means you qualify for two tickets so no problem.
