I want to buy a first edition copy signed by both the authors. The author of Hearts demise, Albert Kidd, and Grant Hill who wrote the book.

The sequel could be about Craig leveins heroic efforts in that momentous game. There must be a medal in it for that alone.

I'm a mate of Grant's and he tells me that a decision will be made on the book coming out in paperback based on ebook sales. So signed copies might yet be available if it proves popular!

Thanks mate I'll download this to the iPad In hope it gets enough sales.

I'm wondering if the likes of off the ball would advertise this too?

Albert Kidd makes a rare and late appearance on the stage and tears the show apart. In seven special minutes

that number must haunt them

:0: - :7:

five will never EVER beat seven, infact...there should be a song about the number 7

Personally, I've never understood the interest in him. I'd rather talk about Hibs successes than Hearts plight - I wish we'd been as good as them that season!

37 games without defeat and they won f all . Saint Albert will always be a legend . They thought the league was won but bottled it at Dens park .
Back in 66 when they bottled it again against Killie ( lost 2-0 at the PBS) which cost them the league on goal average , they complained that goal average was unfair . So it was changed to goal difference . The irony is , had it remained goal average , they would have won the league in 86 .
But yes I too like to see Hibs winning trophys but also enjoy watching them lose . And 86 was a spectacular loss :)

Have to say the book is a really good read, even beyond the amusing aspect for us. Fascinating insight into an incredible day for Scottish football.

I was a teenager at Tynie High School at the time. Two things I remember 1. Never being so keen to leave in the morning to get to school early. 2. Walking past Thomson Sports who still had the 1986 champs t-shirts in the windae. If Carlsberg done days at school.

I also thought it was a good read. But not much in it from the man himself.

Great book, a proper football fans effort. Well researched, written with love, great humour and insight. Like the way he's brought in fans voices from every club - he understands football from a fans viewpoint and knows it's as much about Hibs fans as it is those of Hearts, Dundee, Celtic and St Mirren.

To be frank it'll put most of the Scottish Cup cash in ones to shame, but then again he did have quite a bit longer to prepare it.

I'm looking for some holiday reading this year.

An old school friend who happens to be a Hearts supporter is putting me up in his place in the south of France for a few days, surely this is ideal poolside reading. I may even leave it for him as a thank you.

I'll skip through all the details of the game, and get right to the happy ending.

The Hearts supporters were all crying like little girls.

Good stuff that, Only disappointment for me was the complete lack of Harry potter in any of the action shots, was he doing unseen work? Is there some other explanation?

Apparently he managed to break the cubicle door lock, meaning that he was stuck in the toilet thinking about the game when we all know he would have gone the whole hogg to be out there playing.
