Think they are finally clicking, they are playing much closer together and are developing a nice understanding, noticed this the last few games.

Stokes even passed when he could have struck it with his left and have a good chance of scoring.

Yeah, took long enough but it's coming together at the right time for us now.

Stokesy's looking leaner and fitter. Put in a good shift.

Both excellent tonight, JC finish was good & Stokes energy levels coming into an important run of games is encouraging & could be key.

Watched Stokes closely tonight. He works pretty damn hard across the front line and putting some.pressure on defenders. His long range strikes are gonna fly in soon as well.
Jasons simple passes were better tonight, important to keep possession and make the game easy at times!...and read & took his goal very well.

Encouraging signs all round.
The 352 though is our most effective formation.

Anybody else think Stokes meant that goal? Just the way he shaped his body for it, and knowing how technically good he is, it wouldn't surprise me.

Both played well tonight. Also thought Keatings looked decent when he came on.

Cummings was superb for me, made one mistake the whole game and worked his socks off, more of the same Jase!

I'm sure he looked at the keeper before he hit it.

Credit to Jason, he put a lot of heat on himself after Saturday and he responded to it perfectly. Well done son.

I've got to say I have been critical in the past but they are starting to hit it off and at a good time of the season.

Long may it continue.

Thought both played very well and deserved the ovations they got when subbed.

Don't think Stokes meant to score but his celebration was ace :greengrin

Stokes even passed when he could have struck it with his left and have a good chance of scoring.

Thought wing backs pressing higher up the pitch gave us an out ball also that allowed Stokes and Cummings to harrie the defenders in a narrower area. Also Fyvie felt secure to push and drive at them with big Marv to cover him. And although McGinn didn't do great tonight, he was very effective at keep ball and breaking up their possession play, which wasn't effective tonight due to our aggressive high pressure.

The ones that even today were still slating Stokes for his attitude and application...what game is it they actually watch?? The guy runs his socks off. I'm a Cummings fan but Stokesy must run about double the distance JC does in a game.

I thought Stokes was poor wish he would give up with the back heals, I appear to be in the minority on that. Cummings played very well holding the ball up and more often that not keeping his passes simple and accurate.

What was the celebration? The radio said he didn't even celebrate, which seemed unlikely.

Gaz1875 - we must both be in the minority then. The second goal was lucky and a bad gk error. The stupid flicks that even I can see coming just looses possession at the end of the pitch we should be creating. He was lucky tonight and offered us little.

Cummings goal - I'll give credit where due. He read the situation and exploited a poor throw-in back to their defence.

Again, Jason provides the goods in a big game.

Tonight I thought his overall play was very good also.

I'm sure some fans will still say he is poor and dagnall should start though
