Saw this picture of Burridge - didn't realise he also won the League cup in England.

He achieved this with Aston Villa in 1977. Also something I wasnt aware of was one of his team mates was Alex Cropley.

Just thought I'd share this random info ☺

Happy Birthday Budgie! (67)

The only player that would give us a lap of honour just for turning up

A genuine character and ultimate professional

I remember he would come out really early before a match and do his own warm up. Usually ended up with him swinging on the bar of the goal. Absolute nutter. Great character and a proper goalie.

Holy crap, he's only 3 years younger than Ozzy Osbourne who turned 70 today.

Remembering how dedicated he was to fitness, I suspect he's in slightly better shape than Ozzy (though give Ozzy credit for still getting up on stage, even though his voice is mostly shot).

What a man Budgie was. :not worth

Agree brilliant read was not the only one to fall out with Lexo.

I remember his brilliant double save versus the Old Huns in the semi final at Hampden which was totally down to his training regime

The team that would not die.

From oblivion to Hampden HIBS heroes 1991 also a good read

A player with real character and warmth who squeezed every ounce out of his ability. He was so good he turned Brian Moore from Colour to Mono in that second clip

'Hateley, come anywhere near my six yard box I'll break your effing back', or words to that effect.

Result - Rangers 0 Hibernian 1. What a night!!!

He lives in Oman now - friend of mine is going over to spend Christmas with the great man!

I told him to pass on warmest regards from all Hibs supporters!
