Unless I am mistaken semi final receipts are pooled in a four way split so the great unwashed will be contributing to the Easter Road coffers. Very pleasing!!!

Then we have the final receipts to come.

Any of the financial gurus on here able to come up with the funds the two cup runs will generate in total?

Must be north of £750,000.

Final rough figures underestimated for safety

50,000 x £30 equals £1,500,000 plus TV plus cup final merchandise must make approaching £900,000 to a million each:top marks

The £30 probably includes VAT

Could be a priceless bonus if the worst happens and we don't go up.

You make circa £1m from a SC Final run. Probably more where old firm are involved.

What about 30% reduction for expenses

The semi generates around £350,000 for hibs and the final around £450,000 less bonuses for getting to final plus another £80,000 in prizemoney.Leanne said we had budgeted to lose £800,000 this season so cup runs ensure we will make a tidy profit something I'm sure the board will take into a result at the end of the season. Yesterday's was massive in ensure the players budget is maintained or only slightly reduced if,God forbid,we don't go up. It's going to be some end to the season.

If all the gate receipts are handled by a wee Panamanian law firm I heard about recently - Mossack Fonseca .... It could be more than £1M in time.

Beam the game back to ER on big screens for those who won't get tickets. Kerching.... More ££s

I think the BBC or SKY will have that one covered.

Turnover for 2007 (LC win, SC semi) was £9.85m.
2006 (SC semi, can't remember LC record) was 8.70m
2008 was (can't remember either cup record) was £8.05m.

So it looks like the cup runs are worth somewhere north of £1.1m in gross revenue. On the other hand, the relative wage bill will be higher for win bonuses etc.

Yeah, but sell tickets for behind the goals at 5quid this includes a pie and a pint, 300 hundred thirsty Hibs fans you could make another £10,000 probably a first team players wage for 3 months of the season. And if we win you could make much more sell champers at £30 a bottle

The prospect of losing out on a cup final ticket might just persuade a few to get a season ticket if it guarantees a seat next month - another financial bonus for the club.

SFA take a fair whack of the gate money.

League cup is a lot more lucrative than the Scottish cup as the prize money is a lot higher.

I don't think we should get carried away thinking these cup runs are the answer to any financial prayer. At least that's the impression I got when Leeann spoke at the most recent Working Together meeting.

She is kidding you on then.

If say for example we lost at Tynecastle then we would be a helluva lot worse off financially.

Replay money, ICT + TV money, semi final gate money split four ways and final.

Absolute minimum one million pounds.

Probably meant you can't build a long term financial model based on cup revenues that may or may not materialise.

Great bonus when they happen, but can't be assumed to be regular revenue.

BTG would implode if 300 people went in for pints!

Whatever the case, we would be in a worse position if we hadn't made these two finals ..... with pooled semi final receipts and half the final cash its a pile of cash we wouldn't have had.

Our fan share of the 4 semi finals was 27,000 and for the two finals will be 44,500 .... that's a total of 71,500 fans. Even at a tenner per fan that's £715,000.

Factor in TV money, prize money, merchandise sales and perhaps selling 500 season tickets we might not have with a final ticket as a hook, we have to be heading for a million quid even after the SFA/SPFL have had their taste.
