It was not great today and we rode our luck (so what so often we have had none) and Alan has come in for massive stick recently but to get to two cup finals is remarkable. To beat 3 SPFL teams including our rivals to get there fantastic.

We will be underdogs and probably written off by everyone whoever wins tomorrow, which is perfect, but we are capable on our day. Not only that but another big pay day which could be critical for what ever division we are on next year.

Well done Alan, congratulations.

Unseen work

It's a funny game.

If we lost on penalties it would be completely different.

If Cummings wasn't mucking about and took the penalty properly it may of not went to penalties.

If it wasnt for a great save from logan after awful defending from mcgregor and hanlon that let mckay have a 1 on 1 it may of not went to penalties.

2 massive stages in the game where both of our players should do much better.

But if it was another loss it would be stubbs' head that was being called for.

He chooses the team and if the players go to pot and make stupid decisions when they're on the pitch there is very little he can do.

Two cup finals in one season is some achievement while playing in the Championship. 90 mins from making himself a Hibernian legend. Even more so if he got us up.

Listening to the radio on way back and they all said if he got us up and won the Scottish he's manager of the year by a mile. Just shows you how fine margins it is in football.

90 minutes away from becoming an all-time Hibernian legend.

First hibs manager in history to make both cup finals in the same season. Amazing achievement and well deserved for a great guy that has been passionate from day 1. We were not great today but this cup run has been incredible. The look of joy on my sons face during sol will stay with me for a long time.

We should rename Easter Road if that happens! :greengrin

Heading home just now and well done to the team. Two finals in one season is superb and hopefully we can win this one.

But how much longer can Hibs continue to play like that? Brutal today, brutal last week. We got the breaks today but no way will Hibs get promotion playing like that.

Defeatist.

Only 9 games left: 4 league, 4 play-off, 1 SC.

It wasn't pretty today, that's certainly fair to say.

But I think that just proves that football is really all about winning and very little about how you play.

If we had lost that penalty shootout, this place would have been full of negativity tonight with people slaughtering our style of play and calling for Stubbs to be sacked as we fail to win yet another match.

As it happens, we won the game so people are ecstatic and no-one is focussing on how we played (except you! :greengrin).

Winning and playing well is obviously the ideal scenario but at the end of the day, people won't be bothered if their team wins but doesn't play very well.

Today was poor and looked like we ran out of steam however we played ok on Tuesday and imo we deserved a bit of luck with the win. Getting hugely hacked off with some of the decisions we are getting against us, the 2 yard offside when Billy Mackay was 1 on 1 is quite simply unacceptable. Onwards and upwards. Huge achievement to get to 2 finals in a season. Well done Stubbsy and the boys.

If we don't finish second, we'll hopefully have 6 play off matches to play.

Linesman at it there how can he not flag that one offside.

From a sporting point of view its terrific. A shot at glory and anything can happen.
Financially though, very important as it helps massively regardless of the league we're in next season.

Today was very pleasing as since HT onwards we never looked like winning. Its about time we did win a game we never really deserved! Although arguably with Logans performance it was brilliance rather than luck.

Still, well done Stubbs and team.
Massive end of season games ahead!

Well said.

Our manager has taken a lot of criticism recently and deserves the plaudits for taken us to another final.

This season is mental. Mid-April, and it could still be one of the best in the club's history... or a bitter disappointment!

At Hampden today the fans were singing ''Stubbsy Stubbsy'' at the start of the game. Must have been nice for him to hear when he's been getting a bit flak recently.

Well done big Alan and every one else at the club. To walk out at the Cup Final in May is a huge achievement.

I thought United would just have kept chucking the ball into our box but had obviously not been paying attention to our recent displays.

They played into our hands but we still conspired to give them a few gifts, then Conrad appeared................
