I love the big man, he's probably my favourite player now. It's strange that he couldn't get a game for so long as he's out best central midfielder IMO. If it wasn't for the penalty saves he'd have got MOTM.

For me at least if this boy is fit he should play. First name on the sheet. Would also add that if the reason for not playing him is tactical or to accommodate a formation, I would change the tactics or the formation.

I only have one reservation about big Marv - when he drives forward with the ball he often overdoes things and ends up losing the ball when he could have passed to someone who can do more damage (Fontaine does this a bit too). But he was immense today, his tackling back is superb.

Watch the game back - he lost possession once late second half after being closed down. His possession stats were terrific today.

The only times this has happened is when he has had no options to pass to and has had to go solo
