Would you rather we get promoted or won the Scottish Cup because it has been so long.I think the recent poor form in the league is partly due to two cup runs.Obviously ideally we would get promoted and win the Scottish Cup.

Promotion without any hesitation from me.

We need to be a Premiership team again, everything else can wait until that is achieved.

To win the cup would be absolutely amazing to say the least but the priority this season has to be promotion. Spending a third year in this league is not acceptable.

The cup for me and I said the same even when we were in a better position in league . Tuesday`s game is important but semi even more so given financial reward for reaching final . Important to finish second but one advantage of being 3rd or 4th is tremendous momentum in support we could build up winning 3 rounds of playoffs .

Promotion or Cup? Just winning a game would be nice! Ok maybe a tad harsh but walking back to my car through Alloa fans today, and one of them shouted "we'll see you next season when we come back up" and scarily he's probably right. Just so embarrassed today

I obviously want to see us back in top division asap but think people are exaggerating difference between top 2 divisions . Is there really a big difference between Raith / Falkirk / Morton and Jags , Ross County or Killie ? For fans , matches at Dunfermline , Tannadice or Kirkcaldy which are important for promotion would be better than mid table trips to Dens , Motherwell or Hamilton . Derbies ? Realise it`s different for fans who live in or around Edinburgh but are they really that important ? Games v Celtic and The Rangers ? We`ve played The R loads of times already in last 2 years and maybe meet Celtic in final in May . Not being defeatist , IF we don`t go up this season we`ll go up next year or year after whikle others will go down . In recent years we`ve made so many finals and semis that we`ve started to take them for granted but probably only Celtic can match us there .

And how many cups have we taken home? Cups are the bonus, but the league is every week. We're Hibs, we should be top flight every year.

I've seen us promoted twice and I've seen us win the League Cup three times. I haven't seen us win the cup. Neither has anyone else alive. I can't make a choice between cup and promotion, but if I could I'd take the cup.

We're Hibs, we should be top flight every year.We should be top flight yes but top flight isn`t very good ( saw yesterday`s Hearts v Aberdeen and both teams were awful and so not surprised we`ve beaten both teams this season ) . I`ll happily see us wait another year for promotion if we come up playing good football ( like 2014/15 ) and build for future .

maybe because another season in the championship could result in the club losing more fans for a very long time(if not forever), the SC comes around every season and we won't lose fans for not winning it :dunno:

This is a one season deal breaker on that front.

Another season down here would be about the only way we couldn't have some proper momentum off the back of a cup win.

I've been trying to decide whether I'd prefer to spend this weekend with Kaley Cuoco or Cameron Diaz. IMO, Diaz is much sexier but Cuoco has youth on her side.

I could express a preference, but considering the likelihood of either occuring, I've decided it's a bit pointless.

Promotion is all that matters.
Rather loose to Utd than go to a final with false hope of a win to get whacked by about a dozen goals.

Pesemistic? Maybe but going by form I'd rather all energies were put into going up.

What about 5 or 6? or 9 or 10?

Don't let's be kidding ourselves that we're "too big" for that to happen if this systemic inability to finish off "diddy" teams isn't addressed.

I sincerely hope so, but if we are to get out of this pishy league this year or next it'll be because we finally decide to be too good at football for it, not "too big" as a club.

This cream is taking its sweet ******g time so it had better be extra sweet when it gets to the top :greengrin
