I've read a number of comments from posters saying we are playing against Part Time teams in the Championship. Is this actually the case ?

Here's what I think (but I may be wrong!) :-

Huns - Full Time
Falkirk - Full time
Raith - Full Time
Morton - Full Time
QOTS - Full Time
St Mirren - Full Time
Dumbarton - Part Time
Livingston - Full Time
Alloa - Part Time

So I think there are "only" 2 part time teams.

Is that correct ?

Yep although some of the clubs have part time players or at least used to.

Yes, we are playing against part time clubs in this league, and not doing very well against them when we play them.

We also play against full time clubs as well in this league, some of them even have plastic pitches.

Hope that helps.

The worst thing is losing to Dumbarton TWICE :fuming:

I know that both St Mirren and QotS have some part time players. St Mirren have one with business commitments and one at uni doing teacher training. I'm sure queens had something along similar lines.

40% of the teams in the league with either part-time or a mix of full/part-time.

This has got to be one of the biggest opportunities to wallow in misery.

I can't believe nobody has came to the conclusion yet that based on this evidence hibs are even worse than we all though. lol

I thought we had part time players too? Part of the time they put together a performance that makes us think we might be good enough to win the League.

Do Raith still have the part-time goalkeeper?

Pretty sure it was Cuthbert the last time we played them and it wasn't him.

The guy I'm thinking of worked at a college through in the West and had no interest in giving up his job to go full-time.

He put in a couple of decent performances against us last season.

I remember speaking to Turnbull Hutton after one of our games and he said that the number of points he saved his side for the amount of outlay on his part-time wages was probably the best money spent in the league.

I'm sure a few of the clubs will have one or two part-time players.

He works as a personal trainer mate.

:aok:

I thought he taught PE at a college but there you go.

I know they wanted him to go full-time but he was happy in his job.

Didn't seem to stop him being a really good player.

Yeah they have asked him loads but are happy for him to commit part time given the service he gives the club 👍
