Big decisions needed

Bring in 1 of the other goalies to the first team
Bring Gunnarsson into the defence
Send Stokes back to Celtic
Get rid of the pathetic diamond formation

and the big carrot - offer massive bonuses for winning the play offs.

Continuing like this isn't working

And while they are dumping everything please get rid of this stupid purple strip.

I'll go glass half full - stops the rot of defeats, Farid scores again, Hanlon gets 90 minutes, another few days for Dylan and Fyvie to get fitter, few home games now to come and a semi final (Dundee Utd totally focused on survival may be an advantage) - if there's anytime the lads need support its now so I hope this 'crowds of 7K' talks gets metaphorically beaten down.

If you chuck in how it looked with 10 minutes to go (Falkirk winning and us losing) that's a 3 point swing in a very short space of time.

It almost feels like a win, the players may take this as a huge lift and really kick on.

Or maybe they won't.

Im still 100% behind the team and will be there on tuesday to support them but very pissed off with yet another game without a win. With the team we have we shouldn't be getting beat by teams like Dumbarton, St Mirren, Morton etc. No disrespect to those clubs but look at hearts last year and the huns this year, they were beating those sides very comfortably yet for some reason we aren't managing to.

I'm not chuffed about those defeats either but in those games we were not scoring and/or converting chances - still an issue I have to say. But if we can get to Hampden and beyond with a full strength squad to pick from I'll be happy - Fyvie and Dylan are huge losses to that midfield and we have been relying heavily on McGinn and Henderson each and every game - two young boys who have played a lot of football this season already including internationals. I want the Keatings, the Dagnall's, the Grays and the Stokes' to start stepping up big time on these occasions - they haven't been frankly.

AFAIK if the ref doesn't deem an injury to be serious enough to stop the game, the injured player is still 'in play' so presumably Bartley was playing them onside.

FFS ... Got out of jail there, Falkirk must be absolutely kicking themselves for chucking away a 2 - 0 lead.

I don't know WTF is going on with us but its time for the gloves to come off, we were 2 minutes away from a 5 game losing steak in a run where we hadn't even played the Huns or Falkirk. I'm practically happy clapper in residence on here, but even I am beginning to get angry that once again we appear to be choosing the worst possible time to hit our worst run of form.

I listened to the Dundee Utd game on the radio and now after coming back from 2 - 0 down at Dens park they have beaten St Johnstone 1 - 0 away and thoroughly deserved to as well by the sound of it ... they did it playing with 10 men for the last half hour and at a ground where they have a recent poor record.

Not only will they have hit form at the right time for the semi, its looking increasingly likely they can claw their way into 2nd bottom which means we would end up playing an on form Dundee Utd if ( and its increasingly looking like a big if ) we make the play off final, rather than a bang average Killie or Hamilton.

I renewed my ST for next season today and bought tickets for the semi final ...... I will never give up on the club even if this season goes tits up, as unfortunately its looking more and more likely it will.

Having said all that ...................... All I'm asking is that just for F'ing once Hibs do what I want them to do ..... I never expected us to win the Scottish cup, no matter what form the team was in, but as things stand just now the idea is laughable. I did have plenty of hope that we were capable of beating Raith, Falkirk and whoever finishes 2nd bottom in the Premiership to get promoted, but in the current run of form we are in I wouldn't be confident of getting past Raith Rovers to get a shot at Falkirk.

I like Stubbsy very much ................. But I'm getting too bloody old to keep going "never mind, maybe next year" ... I don't care if it means kicking the players up & down the sand dunes at Gullane, getting on his knees and begging them, or selling his soul to the devil ... he has to get them sorted now before its too late .... unless its him that needs sorted, in which case Leeann needs to drag him into her office and make it clear that he isn't Teflon coated.

Even if Hibs were to make the play-off final (and that's looking uncertain now IMHO), as another poster has pointed out above it's looking like Hibs could possibly run into a rejuvenated Dundee United, should they catch Kilmarnock. DU only 5 points behind now.

Alloa are confirmed as relegated today - I won't miss them or their s*** pitch - and with Dunfermline promoted, getting out of this league could be even harder next season if Hibs don't go up this season. Who knows how many of our best players will remain at the club, or want to remain?

Worrying times I'd say for everyone connected with HFC. There will of course be some who will refuse to see what's staring them in the face and kid on everything is just fine. Something has gone wrong. Recent results don't lie.

I must admit, it's getting worrying now. We were a couple of minutes away from a fifth successive defeat in the Championship. As it is, we have one point to show from those games, which is shocking. I support Stubbs and have faith in his ability to come good this season, but current form is unacceptable. We must start putting some wins together ahead of the play offs and a semi final. More end of season misery is unthinkable.

That is his one major failing as a keeper imo, even if he is not confident in catching the ball he could at least come and punch the bloody thing. ANY ball into the 6 yard box is surely a keepers ball, then we go and see him come for that ridiculous ball at Dumbarton when it was NEVER a keepers ball , he is really down on confidence at the moment and he's not helping our defence out at all.

I think he will be dropped for the next game, especially as he is out for the semi anyway, it kind of let's Stubbs off the hook in a way in saying he's not dropping him but giving our young goalie game time before the semi.

I think he will be dropped for the next game, especially as he is out for the semi anyway, it kind of let's Stubbs off the hook in a way in saying he's not dropping him but giving our young goalie game time before the semi.
Your spot on and he deffo needs a rest or dropped whatever way Stubbs dresses it up

As someone who plays in goals, it's easy to say any ball into the 6 yard box should be the keepers. That's not true! Depends what kind of cross it is to start with where the defenders are and obviously where the keeper is positioned.

There is many situations a keeper coming for a ball in the six yard box and it sails over his head. I'm not defending Ox as sometimes he should be commanding his area whether that be shouting at the defenders keeping them right or coming for cross balls.

I've yet to see the goals from yesterday so can't comment if Ox should have done better or not.

Things I take from that:

1. The St M boy was well offside at the first. Even at that camera angle you could see he was at least 2 yards off.
2. Stokes did amazingly well to create Hibs 2nd. He had no right to get that back.
3. Ox didn't play to the whistle for the first and was just praying the guy was off. Poor.

I'm not sure what you expect him to do at that first goal? For me the question is why Gray heads the ball back into bodies rather than wide to his right. Another goal where he's culpable IMO, should've been dropped weeks ago.

At the 2nd goal Paul Hanlon loses his man, caught in no mans land.

The full team are responsible for this run, all of them have made too many silly mistakes

Boy was well offside, scandalous decision from the ref. He wasn't even close to being onside.

At the first he doesn't play to the whistle ..... he should have been down at the players feet at least trying to make the chance difficult, instead he was practically over moaning at the lino before the ball had hit the net ...... the guy was a yard offside, but any player in this league simply has to presume it will be missed by the officials, if they don't they simply haven't been paying attention.

At the second he is beaten from a really tight angle ... I'll leave it to folk with actual experience of goalkeeping to say whether he could ( or should ) have done better.

Quite simply a bent decision though more for the linesman to give. Quite simply can't get that wrong 2 yards off. Ref supports Falkirk apparently, great

The question is why are we making silly mistakes week in week out when before on our winning run we had a decent record of clean sheets and one of the best defences in the league

Totally incompetent. Twice he forgot to wave injured players back on to the park. Among his many other bloomers.

Well I was there mate and Stokes was honking...a cross for the equaliser apart and it's not enough to.merit his place in the team I'm afraid. Far too half hearted in almost everything he does
