Celtic and Rangers?

We've possibly been there more times than teams outside of Glasgow, but I imagine Aberdeen/Hearts would be there or thereabouts. Aberdeen have a horrendous record at Hampden in recent seasons.

Cumulatively, no team in history has taken more fans to Hampden, and sent them away as losers, than Hibs. In fact, we must be close to holding the world record for the sheer number of people who have travelled to any national final in any sport over the last 100 years and walked away as losers.

Only Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen have been in more cup finals than Hibs.

Dundee United have the Scottish Cup record most similar to ours with 2 wins and 8 defeats.

The Ugly sisters have of course both lost far more cup finals than we have, they have chalked up a lot more wins of course.

I mentioned earlier, that we must be very near the top when it comes to appearances at Hampden. how many semi- finals, AND finals have we been there for? dizens!

Give or take the odd one Ive probably missed I reckon we have played in 33 Scottish cup semi finals (not including any replays) and 16 league cup semi finals.

Since the second world war and the league cup coming into being we have played in 20 Scottish cup semi finals and of course the 16 league cup semi finals meaning we have played in a cup final on average, whether it be either of the two cups, once every 2 years. Thats quite impressive, however 2 Scottish cup wins from 33 semi final appearances highlights even further our now legendary quest for the grail.
