Wife bugging me about holidays, weekends away etc so was looking up dates of Scottish Cup Final and the play off final to avoid domestic conflict.

I found
the Cup Final is on May 21st
1st leg play off May 19th
2nd leg play off May 22nd

Haven't seen any mention of this.
I presume date changes would have to be made and that it won't be an issue until we beat Dundee Utd in the Cup and Falkirk in the play offs.

Is there a precedent or contingency in place?

Given we would be playing one of the uglies in the Final I would prefer to play both legs of the playoffs first

Based on what happened last year after we got worried about this eventuality I will be happy to leave it to the SFA to work out IF we get into that position!

Mind you, with the spfl i wouldnt be surprised if we were to beat united they would make us play the sunday as well

I do remember we all worried unnecessarily about this last season.

However, that doesn't mean that the SFA and SPFL haven't cocked up once again. Surely there should be a week between the final and the play-off games, as there's always going to be the possibility of a team being involved in both.

It's no easy bein a football/sport obsessive.

I simply couldn't risk missing Hibs winning the Scottish Cup :confused:

A sign of a true idiot is one that makes a mistake and then instead of learning from it, continues to make it. The clowns that run our game got massively lucky that it didn't all clash last season, yet they've gone for the same dates this season. Hope they don't get away with it this season

According to the BBC:
If we make the cup final the play off games will move to the 17th & 25th.
The only problem with that is:
Scottish Cup bid could be compromised by injuries in the 1st play off game
Play off bid could be compromised by injuries and/or extra time in the Scottish Cup Final

Contingency is also that the 1st leg may get shifted until after the final but play-offs must be completed before the CL Final on 28 May.

After a past error I always keep the month of May free in hope.

Surely you can watch the Euros when your on holiday in June? Unless your going to France? Personally I would never take a holiday in May as its the business end of the season. I can go on holiday in June or most of July without missing Hibs games.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys including the one that said I should watch the Euro's on holiday.
To be fair to the wife causes me much less heartache and anguish than Hibernian FC.

Can we parade both the Scottish cup and the play off...win at the same time though? And will the parade be the following Tuesday morning? These are the important things.
