Thoughts?

Seen it back and think it was very soft. Lucky to get away with that I think.

Was Oxley impeded ?

I haven't seen it back yet but at the time I couldn't see any foul on Oxley

Just looked like extremely weak goalkeeping tbh.

That's what I thought. Couldn't believe he didn't catch it.
Why was it disallowed ?

All the guys on the radio said the ref totally blundered. Clear goal seemingly.

Also seemed fine to me.

Definetely a goal .Oxley grabbing fresh air

Haven't seen it again. So the 'unlucky/it was the ref' argument doesn't wash, then?

You cannot make contact with the goalkeeper in the six yard box. Foul.

It was a little soft, but you can see why the ref chopped it off

I thought it looked soft at the game, but then I also thought that about around 75% of the free kicks that the referee awarded them in the second half. He had a decent first half, but lost the plot a bit in the second.

Not like Oxley. Haven't seen it again but the guy is weak. Does not command his box. BUT not the reason we lost today. Just wasn't meant to be

Looked nothing wrong with it but luckily keepers get lots of cover. Oxley is extremely soft in these situations.

My immediate reaction was that Oxley had clearly been watching videos of Jim Leighton's heroics in a Hibs jersey.

I thought at first the referee had given a goal, but I didn't get a clear view of what happened, i.e. what contact the RC player made with Oxley.

We were the same, the way he pointed looked like he had given the goal

It was a clear goal and the look of relief on Oxley's coupon said it all when the ref bailed him out.

Wish that hadn't been disallowed. In hindsight, we'd have had more time to recover and try and get an equaliser.

Need to see it again. Oxley should be cleaning people out in his own box.

It was a foul all day long. Sounds like some are just looking for any excuse to attack Ox.

Correct, it is the sort of foul that's given every week. It always looks soft, but let's not use it as an excuse to beat ourselves up over or have a go at Oxely.

I thought it was legit at the time of viewing (in real time) but I shudder to think what the ref saw to disallow the goal.

It was a goal that should have stood. IMHO of course.

The guy's head was WELL higher than Oxley could jump with his hands, which pretty much says it all. It was lucky.

Just watched it back. Very little in it.

One of those that the keeper will always get though.

What? If Oxley was half the keeper Leighton was he'd be twice as good as oxley is

Owlet was pushed whilst in the air. The ref was right on the spot and he never hesitated. I was right behind the goal and haven't seen the replay but I had no fears that it would be given.

In the meantime stay classy, Oxley doesn't deserve criticism for his display today.

Clear foul on the keeper for me. In saying that given his height and physique I'd prefer Ox to not give the ref a decision to make in that situation.

Of course it allows the Oxley haters to have a pop.

It was soft, but it's regularly given as a foul so they can have no complaints.

At the time I thought we'd dodged a bullet but having now seen the replays, probably just about the right decision. One of the few good decisions the ref made in the 2nd half. Rest of that half he was abysmal.

At the game from where I was sitting, almost in line, I thought it was a goal, but watching the highlights tonight it looked more like a foul. Has to be said though, goalkeepers get a lot of protection, a few years back that would have stood.

Sitting here in a daze - again. Just saw where big Liam F was at the second RC goal and blame Oxley. That should have been his ball all day and night.

I am not an Oxley hater I hate only one thing on this earth - Glasgow Celtic FC. I just think that big Ox should have claimed the ball before Fontaine connected.

Seen the replay and the strikers arm was preventing Oxley jumping.

Seen the Bartley replay as well though...we'll just, erm, quickly move on. :greengrin

Keepers always get those fouls but he's a soft keeper and should have done better. Seriously not the answer.

Thought his choice to catch rather than punch was a bad one, that said refs always give those as a foul.
