So Doherty hasn't, as yet, suffered a career ending injury then? Shame.

I hope Ireland's matches are being held in London or else he won't make it.

Neither him nor Doherty were actually called up yet. As the article states, they were named to a provisional 40 personal list which will be shortened before 20 March.

Not a fan of the guy but no need for this, embarrassing.

Not at all. Yours was a crass, Jambo-esque comment.

Stick yer Jambo-esque pish where it belongs. The boy utterly disrespected MY club on an already pretty crappy day. You may forgive. I don't.

Well done Stokesy ... Hope it gives you a boost before Sunday

As for Dohertyy. Thought he was a very good player and had some very good performances for us but his comments after the final turned him into a horrific signing in some folks eyes

I must have missed that. What did he do?

Well done Stokesy, I'm hoping this is the extra incentive to push him on to greater effort for us.

There's forgiveness, and there's wishing career-ending injuries. I'm in the middle.

Interesting quote from Martin Oneill who says Stokes is one of the three laziest players he's ever managed!

I've never really got the outrage from folk on here when someone wishes an injury on someone.
I've wished injury on plenty people in the past.

What difference does it make ? It's not as if the wish is going to happen is it?

Too many folk looking for stuff to get offended about.

Bore off.

Doherty?!?! Surely not! That boy is a grade A..

I'm sure the squad is picked more on ability. He has been a regular for Wolves since leaving us (where he also did quite well).

Fairly sure a daft comment by him once won't feature too high on what his national team manager will be considering.

I've got a good feeling about Stokes for tomorrow. Hopefully he can bag a couple.:aok:

That can't be right. We were told on here by multiple knowitalls he had 'no chance' of being called up?
