As it says on the tin - I'd have to say that King Dom's world class goal against Aberdeen was the highlight. That was an absolute thing of beauty, single handedly taking on three defenders and the coolest finish you'll ever see - in any league in the world that was a gorgeous, gorgeous bit of football.

There's a chance in the Premiership or La Liga, the defending may not have been quite so lame. Great goal though.

The semi final weekend of winning our semi then Ross Country pumping Celtic then booking my flights immediately was pretty awesome.

I'm split 50/50 between the "is Stokes cup tied" threads and Callum's ticket sales updates.

TBF they couldn't get close to Dom.

McGinns winner against Saints was fantastic as well, just as it looked as if he'd been dispossessed.

Getting picked up at the airport by a Jambo cab driver and asking him how hearts did in the cup reply. Priceless then telling him am off to hampden on Sunday.

Aye I know. Because their defending, especially the last tackle and the guy that jogged the whole Aberdeen half watching from afar were lame. Great calmness and clinical finish from Dom mind you.

For pure "oh ya beauty" factor, McGinn's winner takes it for me.

Cummings goal v Aberdeen.
Doms was class, but Jasons goal was also pure class and it broke the deadlock late in the gym against a high flying dons.
2nd to that would be McGinns goal winning the game to set up Sunday.

John McGinn in the second half of the semi final. Not just his goal but the way he was taking on the whole StJonstone team all on his own at times.

The celebrations after jason's goal at tynie in the semi.

The whole carnival de Paris was spot on and it felt like the whole ground was doing it.

It's been a great Addition!

The Dundee Utd game was fantastic, we were absolutely class that night, 3-0 didn't flatter us at all as we could have/should have had more.

The McGinn goal at the semi for me though, the place absolutely erupted!

That was in the cup, this is for the league cup. But altogether definitely a great addition.

Only been to the Dundee Utd game so far so that would have to get my vote. Was a seriously top drawer performance all round.

Guessing he means Jason's pen in the semi?

If McGinn had scored late on in the semi when he took on the entire team then that would have been the best moment of any competition, ever.

Dom all the way :agree:

Torn between Dom's goal or super JMcG's goal.

Dom's was a brilliant individual "icing on the cake" goal in a game we'd already won. But remember who played the up the field ball that Dom latched on to.

Yep - super J McG!!

And for that reason, I'm going with John's goal in the Semi. It is after all the reason we're all going to Hampden on Sunday. Without that goal, as good and important as all the other goals scored in previous rounds were, McGinn's goal was the crucial one.

A?

Fairly sure Jason scored against St Johnstone in the semi of the league cup at Tynecastle...

Good question! Dom v Aberdeen was brilliant, and probably edges it from McGinn's winner in the semi.

Hopefully the best moment is yet to come.

The moment when McGinn turned on the ball against Saints, ran into the box and almost scored. Sheer class.

Might not have ended up in a goal but showed a great amount of confidence. More tomorrow please.

Malonga's sublime flick to set Cummings clear, though he was just offside. Cant mind if it is was against Sheep or United though?

You must be kidding. We were 1-0 up and defending manfully, when Super John chipped the ball forward to Dom. He then ran 65 yards and knocked it in the net.

One of the best goals I've seen at ER.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with what you say.

Point I was trying to make was, in the overall scheme of us getting to the final, McGinn's goal was the one that got us over the line. Then taking his vision into account for setting up Dom to get the ball and run 60 yards, those 2 bits of play when added together were worthy of shading it in favour of McGinn.

Undoubtedly both goals were class. Both for different reasons.

:agree: Everything about that game was just right and big Doms goal was the icing on the cake.
