Is Sundays league cup final a record for a Scottish national football final for the longest distance between participating finalists?

Aberdeen played St Mirren, which is further. Edinburgh to Dignwall is 125 miles and Aberdeen to Paisley is 155. Yes I am bored at the moment :greengrin

edit I'm talking pish, Dingwall is 181 miles.

Not sure where you are getting either of your figures from, but Dingwall is 168 miles from Edinburgh city centre, according to the AA. (Dunno what alcoholics know about it, mind you)

I used google maps from my house to Dingwall and it was 181 miles as that route goes via the bypass. I realise that hibs don't play at my house so your figure is probably more accurate :greengrin

I'm from Dingwall, although live in Grantown on Spey now, and travelled the route regularly, in fact only missed one game, season '98/'99 ,from my house at top of Dingwall, Perth, then over the Bridge, along Ferry Road , Gt Jnct street and parked opposite Tamsons. My mileometer on the car was 343 miles for home games return, so just over 171 each way.
