Which player would you love to see put the ball into the back of the net in the 90th minute on Sunday to win the cup?

John McGinn, for me.

A RC own goal would do me just fine.

Stevenson for me. Long standing player and someone who I feel would deserve it after years of good service.

Stevenson, McGinn OR Farid.

Although I really dont care if it's an own goal that takes 50 deflections.

Stokes last minute winner.

For his long and windy Hibs journey - Lewis.

Failing that McGinn or Henderson for they seem to have taken to the club with a passion.

In reality anyone.

I think the script is written for El Alagui to come off the bench and get the winner. Would love that to happen, failing that Lewis or Jason.

Only because Super John McGinn got the winner in the semi I'd say Liam Henderson. These young lads have burst a gut for hibs over the past few months, probably being asked more of them than we should given there ages however injuries to Dylan and Fyvie have impacted on this. There can't have been many loan signings who have played with as much passion as young Liam, he deserves to slot away the winning goal!👍

Jason Cummings. Reckon he'll jump into the crowd if he scores.

Tbh I want it settled well before the 90th minute, my nerves just cannae take it 😁
I would love for Lewis to hit the winner in the OPs scenario though, just cause he's one of my favourite players and has won this cup for Hibs before.

Hope it's done and dusted before then

Jason Cummings. The young guy has done so well for himself after being punted to the scrap heap by the 'Big Team' after his bad injury. At the age he was at the time, it could have been so easy to lose faith and pack it altogether but he stuck in, grafted away and seized the chance to make it in professional football. After a few silly incidents that made the papers from the wrong reasons he's screwed the nut and is maturing into a really good striker.

Its been great watching him develop from a wee laddie with a bit of raw talent and high energy into and established centre forward who regularly comes up with the goods on the big occasions (even if he is still that little bit raw).

I'd love for him to score the winning goal in our cup final, the lad deserves it!:not worth

Lewis.

He's knocked his pan in for us over a long period of time.

It would be great for him to cement his legendary status.

Lewis...would be my choice, but unfortunatley it won't happen...It will be 2-2 at full time (Stokes and Cummings) and Gunnarsson wills score the winner in the 117th minutes with a header from a corner.

Anyone as long as its a hibs player! (except if its an own goal of course :greengrin)

To answer the question though, I would love it to be wee Lewis Stevenson. Longest serving player who's put up with a lot of stick over the years (some deserved, some just plain scapegoating).

True true but tbh I don't care if we are cruising 5-0 at half time or we win with a scrappy 90+ minute goal as long as when the final whistle blows its us celebrating.

Thats a good shout actually. A boyhood hibs fan who like you say has probably dreamt his whole life of scoring a winning goal for hibs at hampden in a cup final.

Undoubtedly Jase.

I had a dream that we will
Win the SC and he will
Be booked for running into the crowd and in general just going nuts after winning it for us.

I'd like to see him score the winning goal and become a true hibby kissing his badge or something to show his love for us.

f*** that, i dont think i'd cope to wait until the 90th minute for a winner.

I'll have a "sproule-esque" hat trick from Cummings in the first 15 minutes followed by 75 minutes of celebrating :greengrin

Are you serious? If we're 3 nil up at half-time, my nails will still be bitten up to my elbows.
I'm trying to think how many goals we would need before I could relax....:paranoid:

I'm hoping it is won way before the 90th minute. 3 goal with 15 to go please, but at this point any sort of win. John McGinn hatrick might cause that song to be stuck in my head for days.
