The English FA asked for UEFAs permission to show the game on TV tonight.

Looked like the SFA could have done the same for the Hearts replay. Wonder if they will ask to show next weeks replay with Inverness.

Unfortunately theres little chance the replay replay will be on tv. It's been covered on another thread that apparently the English FA are having to pay a fine of 1 million quid if they broadcast it. No danger the Scottish FA would even consider it. However I'd like to see their point of view if this was a replay of rangers v Celtic for arguments sake.

If they are paying a 1m alleged fine how come the game is kicking off at 7pm? Strange.

Where has it been reported the FA are paying a 1 Million pound fine to show this?

All i can find online is this bit in the telegraph:

What time is the game? After drawing 0-0 in their fifth round game (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/12165715/Arsenal-vs-Hull-City-FA-Cup-fifth-round-live.html) a fortnight ago, Hull and Arsenal try again tonight at the KC Stadium.
The game this evening has the slightly odd kick-off time of 7pm - and the reason? High-profile matches like this are not allowed to precisely overlap with Champions League fixtures. If the game is a draw after 90 minutes, we are into extra-time, and then penalties

It says high profile matches are no allowed to overlap, does that mean our replay could be shown,a couple of wee teams like us and ict would they be bothered?

According to the following (sorry it's the Daily Record website), the SFA did ask UEFA about showing the Hibs v Hearts replay on TV.
More significantly, it is saying that UEFA have NOT given permission for Hull v Arsenal at 7pm tonight.

REPORTS in England had suggested that UEFA had allowed the game to go ahead but the governing body insist they didn't agree to it.
UEFA have rubbished reports that special dispensation was awarded to the FA to allow tonight's FA Cup replay between Hull and Arsenal to be shown on TV.
It had been reported in England that dispensation was awarded after talks between the FA and UEFA, but that is not the case with UEFA likely to look at any rule breaches at the end of the season.
The FA had decided to move the FA Cup replay forward by 45 minutes to a 7pm kick-off in a bid to get round the rules, but UEFA are unlikely to look favourable on that move.
A UEFA spokesperson said: "UEFA gave no dispensation for the Hull v Arsenal match and did not agree to a 7pm kick-off."
The FA have previously been fined by European football's governing body for flouting TV rules, with almost £1m in money being withheld by UEFA.
There was uproar in Scotland last month when fans faced a TV blackout for Scottish Cup replays when the games clashed with Champions League fixtures.
The SFA had gone to UEFA in a bid to show the replay of the Edinburgh Derby in the Scottish Cup fifth round but had their attempt rejected. Kilmarnock v Rangers couldn’t be shown on TV either.
A SFA spokesperson said: "We spoke to UEFA seeking dispensation to show the Hibernian v Hearts game and had it rejected. We were surprised to read the FA statement and are glad that UEFA have cleared the matter up."
Matches between Hearts and Hibs and Rangers and Kilmarnock weren't shown live on TV due to UEFA rules.

I cant shake the feeling that BT Sports are behind this one, they've got both competitions, having just paid UEFA a record fee for the Champions League rights I wonder if they've called in a favour

Interesting to know how much UEFA membership is worth for Scottish clubs. Ridiculous that clubs have had to sell out. Old days Scotland ran UEFA too. There was a privileged voting system.

ICT were supposed to be playing Hearts live on Sky in an SPL game on the Tuesday the 15th, why was that allowed to be scheduled ? It all seems a bit vague at times, although someone posted in the other thread that games that are replays or postponed fixtures can be shown even if they clash with CL games. Maybe it's the usual story, football authorities just make up the rules as they go along...

It's on German Eurosport no worries. Is the UEFA ruling a blanket one for all European leagues/cups??

The SFA spokesperson is glad EUFA cleared the matter up? What a gormless pandering tool, they are broadcasting the Hull vs Arsenal game as I type this.

Either way, Meyler showing a level of generosity that UEFA could do well to emulate by passing the ball to Giroud in the 6 yard box for 1-0 to Arsenal.

Gibbs with a ripper off the stantion as well
