Pretty poor but they're saving up for the upcoming Champions League games.

I know a guy who was at Celtic park on Wednesday night and he estimated the crowd at 20,000 ...... It seems that the Sellik fans have deserted their team in droves, all the more surprising when you consider that they are still in a title race with the sheep.

They keep posting crowds of 40,000 plus, but it never looks anything like that on the telly, so I imagine its based on season tickets sold. If these folk who own season tickets but still cant be arsed to turn up don't renew next season 'Paradise' is gonna be anything but. They better hope the return of their other half next season to reignite the hate fest has the desired affect on their ST sales.

The longer they miss out on champs League money the better. Celtic have been cutting costs a lot these last few years and obviously so have their other half. They are no longer that far in front that they can't be caught even if they have a bad season. Crowds will drop and more cost cutting will follow.
Only champs league can break the cycle, so I hope big clubs go ahead with their plan and permanently exclude them.

Their chances of making the group stages diminish each year.

They are currently 51 in the rankings and could easily drop a place or two by the end of the season.

They were 24 ten years back. Rangers were also in the mid-20s recently.

In those days the top two would qualify and the Champions went straight into the group stages. Now they face three qualification rounds. And they will face potentially tougher competition as their ranking drops.

The one thing keeping them where they are is one relatively good season in 2012-13. When this rolls out of the coefficients in a couple of years they face dropping lower.

Greatest fans in the world. apparently

People, particularly in the media, seem to associate 'greatest' with 'number'. Just because there are lots of them doesn't make them the greatest.

I always think that the guys who follow the likes of Alloa or Cowdenbeath to every game are far greater. Particularly when the Old Firm glory hunters often pass 10 or 12 other grounds on their way to Glasgow!
