York City play Luton today at Bootham Crescent. Derek Riordan is with York these days and he's been an unused sub recently so he might feature today. There's another Scottish connection as Jackie McNamara manages them so I think I'll go along and watch them.

York are currently hanging onto League status by the skin of their teeth and are fighting for survival at the bottom of the 4th tier of English football. The standard of football won't be great, so I thought a nice cheap 90 minutes would be on the cards.

Ive just checked on their website and, surprisingly, York charge £21 for their main stand, £19 for the "popular stand" and £18 behind the goal. That's a lot more than I expected.

I'll still go, but it puts Hibs pricing into perspective a bit and gives food for thought about our buying power or lack of.

Poor ground too. Speak to Silver he might be able to get you a freebie. Ha.

Halifax Town in the league below is around 18 quid.

£10 for me today at Enfield and my bairns get in for £1 a head.

I fully expect the bar bill to exceed £50 though, as they've introduced a new house wine that comes recommended.

I plan to watch York City Knights rugby league tomorrow. Theyre playing the local amateur side, York Acorn, in a cup or something. Seemingly, Acorn will have many more fans.

That will cost a tenner too, but I doubt there will be any wine on offer, house or otherwise!

You will enjoy the rugby league more than the football. My team play in the same league as York knights but do not play them away this season
