Hi Guys,

There has been a lot of talk tomorrow regarding how you guys would like to mark Lewis Stevensons 300th appearance for the Hibs!

A lot of people felt it may be a little too early for a minutes applause in the 16th minute after last week's for young Leon so I have decided to proceed with the suggestions of the run out track.

Can you guys give me feedback on what version you would prefer the Kingsmen version or Motorhead version. Bear in mind it will be the run out track so it may be a preference for the Moorhead version but again happy to leave this up to you guys. The majority of the appreciation will come from the stands but again the whole purpose of this is to let you guys have the input.

Let me know your thoughts or any other way you may like us to do this in tomorrows match.

Why don't you ask Lewis what he'd like the teams to run out to?

I'm sure Lewis is well into Indie music. I'm sure there was a feature about his favourite tunes and they were indie bangers.

How about "Keep On Running" by Stevie Winwood.

There's also an Iggy Pop version. Motorhead might sound better over the speakers, but the original is still the best.

Totally agree...We get players reaching 300 games all the time. What are we thinking about with this tomfoolery?

Oh!....and if selected?

Deary me!

It's not as if the Announcer would be asking Lewis what to play as the teams were actually running past him onto the pitch

Has there really been 'a lot of talk' about what music to play for Lewis? Will a lot of the crowd even recognise the significance of whatever music is blaring?

What about just an announcement congratulating him and let the crowd do the rest? I'm sure it'll be warmly received, and i'm sure the cheers of the crowd will mean more than some song by Motorhead or whatever being played.

I think the crowd will only realise that it's a tribute to Louie if you play the ORIGINAL version that everyone knows. A nice touch!

I did an interview with him years ago when he said the bands he liked were Sergeant https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_(band) (can't remember which song particularly) and the View, though his tastes could well have changed in the years that have passed!

There is always Louie, Louie but it's not exactly an 'uplifting run out track'.

That's fair play about the 16th minute, I hadn't really thought that through.

Good idea to play it as as the run-out music. No preference for which version.

Good point. Maybe we should stop them listening to music in the changing room before the game. Maybe even ban the players from listening to music in the car on the way to ER. Need to make sure their concentration levels are at 100%

Kaiser Chiefs 'Ruby' was No 1 around the time when he made his cup winning man of the match performance in 2007.

The start is 'Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby' - could be substituted for Lewy Lewy Lewy Lewy ??

One thing for sure the wee man should have the captains armband on Wednesday night.
In the modern game 300 appearances for one Club is some feat and needs to be marked properly.

Great servant to the Club.:flag::flag:

I sit (stand actually) in the back row of the East - what is this music stuff everyone is discussing? The way you're all going on you'd think some kind of speaker system had been installed at E.R.

The best version hands down of Louie Louie is by Toots & The Maytals. My favourite anyway!

Cracking version. The Clash also do a good un. But in response to the OP, I'd go for the original by the Kingsmen.
