Currently reading a book called Stramash about 'Scotland's teams and towns' and there are several references to teams which were in div 1 at the outbreak of the war in 1939 being allocated to div 2 when leagues resumed after the war. I know from the book that Arbroath, Cowdenbeath and others were put down. Does anyone know which teams were parachuted upwards? Just wondering if there was a political motive to the changes or what went on.
