He hadn't scored in the six games previous to Tuesday so unfortunately it's not the blow it would've been earlier. If o Halloran or Clark get injures though...

Really? I hadn't realised they've not had a penalty for 6 weeks! Surely not.

Fortunately, the SFA have deemed that as this is such a severe blow to Old Firm West's title chances, all penalties awarded to them will automatically be given as a goal.

Good, wish it was for longer, say, about 6 years. Hope it is nothing trivial. Foghorn leghorn is an onerous individual who, in my list of disliked [dare I say hated] players comes second only to Ruddi the yam fud.

How often do they get penalties awarded against them?

This won't make any difference to the Hun. He wasn't a prolific striker in open play - I think he only scored four goals in two thirds of a season. Any replacement is bound to be more successful in that Hun side.

All they do is re-designate their penalty taker.

Either that or, for fairness and sporting integrity, all teams top scorers cannae play til Foghorn is fit again.

Ooft, that's quite an accolade given your profile says that you are 56.

Graham Roberts, Gary McKay, Terry Hurlock, Ian Black, Craig Levein, Terry Butcher………

Worse than them and all the others?

(Rudi Skacel would be mine too though)

Not much difference between 6-8 weeks and rest of season - we're 8 weeks from mid April and the last league game is 30th April.

I can't tell you how delighted I was to hear that news, it couldn't happen to a nicer midden!! I hope Q,O,S do them on Sun and let that be the start of a bad run that takes above them before we meet in April, happy days!!

Heavier impact than originally feared then, must have tripped over his own waistline.

There's hundreds of guys like this kicking abut the lower leagues in England if the SFA want to grant them an emergency signing.

Why do they need an emergency signing ,they have just brought in King and O halloran who have both scored for them ,and they have Kenny Miller ! dean shields ,Nicky law and Nicky Clarke who can all play in forward positions
Surely they are all capable of taking penalties

Rangers and Warburton complaining about artificial pitches. Didn't hear them call for a ban on plastic turf when Farid got crocked.

Yep they get one key players injured and they come out with this .We had several players injured last season which coincided with them playing on plastic pitches but they didn't start a debate about it then .

Penalties can always be retaken for infringements so they should have someone that can score 1 in 2 or 3.

He's a big player for the Huns and will be a loss for them. Good.

This is an important weekend. We should get 3 points but must have the right attitude. The plastic pitch gate and Waghorn (Pen) blow is likely to unsettle then for a tough game against QOS who are showing better form recently.

Would be nice to go ino midweek Morton game only 5 or 6 points behind...

One person contributed to "Off the Ball" with the following very fair comment>

Waghorn goes down for a penalty
Waghorn jumps to his feet and goes on to score the penalty
Waghorn is jumped all over by his team mates in a goal celebration
Waghorn goes off injured and its the fault of the pitch? :lolrangers:
