Last night's attendance

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and I've missed it, but ...... the official attendance last night was 19,433 and the stadium official capacity is 20,250 (I think). I didn't see nearly 1,000 empty seats last night - how can this be?!

Our capacity is 20,421. And there was never 1k empty seats but there was a problem with the scanners for a lot of folk and they were just let in by the Stewards so the ones that had troubles scanning probably didn't get registered on the "attendance count" thing.

20421 . 988 empty seats ! Find that hard to believe .
Edit . Just seen BMD post . Which makes sense of how the figure was below capacity .

I agree, no way 1000 empty seats. 1 seat empty in the 5 or 6 rows around me, and it was next to me. we tried to get that seat all season but it's registered as a ST holder. never been used
