I could be wrong but I'm sure Hearts had 21 fouls in the first game & 19(?) last night

Possession: HMFC 46% HFC 54% first leg with this reversed in the second leg. We held on and didn't concede. They couldn't.

Shots: HMFC 7 + 9 = 16 HFC 13 + 9 = 22

Shots on target: HMFC 3 + 2 = 5 HFC 5 + 5 = 10

Corners: HMFC 2 + 5 = 7 HFC 8 + 7 = 15

Fouls: HMFC 22 + 16 = 38 HFC 9 + 12 = 21

Goals: HMFC 2 HFC 3

HMFC Losers HFC Winners

FACT

Both teams had 10 bookings over the 2 games.

Both teams had 10 bookings over the 2 games.

So we got a booking to almost every 2 fouls, while theirs was closer to every 4 fouls.

That's ridiculous! How we get so many bookings in derbys is a joke!

Last night Beaton had 2 opportunities to give Pallardo a second yellow card. Neither could have been deemed harsh. Instead he has a word with him and he is subsequently substituted. He then proceeded to book 3 Hibs players before sending Augustyn off. It has always been this way.

Over the last 2 games it is evident that if an opposition midfielder is breaking onto the Hearts back 4, they have been coached to cynically just pull him back and stop the game and take the yellow card. Pallardo did this for his booking last night and should have walked for a similar cynical foul near the dugout.

Looking at the spfl statistics, hearts have had the most red cards this season (6) and only 3 teams have had more yellow cards. This cynical approach tarnises the good name of Scottish Football and the authorities should clamp down on them harder
