Sure I was told the bank card I bought it with and purchase reference number.

Rubbish, what if they're not for you? Just the address is what you need. Students need their valid ID as well.

I would highly recommend getting there early for collections.
I collected my girlfriend's ticket prior to the Raith Rovers game at NY and for a crowd of 11,000 I waited nearly half an hour to collect the ticket.

Absolutely get there early. Get there early to get in as well.
People will be either a) using the scanners for the first time or b) a number will be drunk and incapable.
Get in early to avoid queues and making it worse for the others.
