Funny guy, good cast but anyone else get fed up with privilaged, middle class, privately educated folk who dominate the media laugh at the state of white working class Britain with impunity.

Owen Jones book Chavs is good on this. I wonder if he'll have the guts to raise the issue more directly now he's part of the left wing establishment "intelligensia"

It's just a bit of fun this film Col but I take your point. It does seem like a joke that's been told a few times.

With Jones you probably will get the chance to hear his view. I don't mind him but he really puts some folks backs up, mainly the uber right wing types who dominate the print & commentariat media.

Do privileged, middle class, privately educated folk laugh at working class Britain more than working class Britain laughs at privileged, middle class, privately educated folk? I don't think so.

Comedy characters tend to be extreme depictions of whatever age/race/nationality/social class/personality is being portrayed. That's how mainstream character comedy often works.

Other than this film, what examples of this behaviour have led you to become fed up?
