Listening to BBC Sportsound with Keith & Mickey about their time at Hibs and the 1991 cup final.
They are such good friends and such great Hibbies.
It meant so much to them both to have been able to pull that jersey over their heads!
I have always been a BIG Mickey Weir fan for many many years, but just luv them both!
Great wee interview lads! Brought back loads of happy memories of that final.

They both played for Hibs before I was even born but they still resonate with me as two of the biggest Hibs heroes. Re-watched "the team that wouldn't die" and "the team that was..." programmes on YouTube the other night and they're still great!

Very good listen, I sat in the car for an extra 20 minutes to hear it in peace. Two good hibbies and two of my all time favourites. It meant a lot to them to get the opportunity to play for the hibs.

I went to secondary school with Mikey in a year that was full of Hibs supporters.

He was the one that got to live the dream.

I sold Keith Wright Now 23 at Christmas Time at the music shop in Cameron Toll. Looking back at the track listing I see it had 'Super John McGinn' by Bill Ray Cyrus on it.

Was a good listen and a few funny stories about the 91 Cup final and Budgie etc.

Worth a listen if you haven't heard it already :agree:

If that isn't a sign I don't know what is!

A great listen. Brought back a lot of memories for me with the League Cup win in '91 being the first time seeing Hibs win a major trophy. The Cup parade and inside Easter Road that night will never be forgotten by those that were there.

Keiths young lad jack was in the same year at school as my oldest boy. The Boys had a wee barney at school and when I heard it was Keiths boy I wasn't sure how he would react but we both laughed about it. His laddie was lighting quick in the playground. Total legend. The lift he gave the team when he signed was immense. Only regret was we never got Tommy Coyne to sign as well as they were a lethal partnership.

That was great. :agree:

Nobody warned that the FTB was going to be on at the start though. :grr:

Anyone know what all the cup winning team of 91 are doing these days?

Just listened to the Malpas interview.

He is a very bitter and stubborn person. It's no surprise he was received the way he was.

I think he was the bigger problem in that dressing room.

A bully and a man that is not willing to listen to another side/admit to a wrongdoing.

No time for folk that can't swallow their pride at times.

Keith works as a Development Officer or something like that for the SFA in Midlothian. He has been the teacher on a couple of youth football coaching badges I have done. Very good at his job and always says hello when you see him walking to the game. A really great lad and he still looks a player, albeit one footed, when showing the drills.

Did anyone hear last nights show? Malpas and mcalpine basically confirming Jim McLean was an absolute lunatic. They were dressing it up as a genius but he sounded like he was crazy to me.

Malpas fell out with him in the end so didn't have him as a mentor but looks like he carried in his mantle anyway.
