Tosh. Anybody who wants a ticket for Hampden will get one. The extra points gained in the forthcoming derby won't matter one iota.
It not being on the telly has made a massive difference.
Take it you disagree with my point of view then. The more points the earlier you'll be able to purchase tickets so you'll get better seats.

Why won't the system let me buy a single kids ticket. What a pain. I have bought the two allowed for my kids but cannot get a ticket for the third kid I take. He has a season ticket and it is assigned to me. Even when I log into an account created for him it blocks the sale. Anyone else who takes 3 season ticket holding kids having issues.

Yes I had this problem earlier. Bloody nuisance. Especially as its for my son who has his own client reference number. Sorted now though thanks to my mate who still had to get his own adult ticket

Cheers, I'll wait until tomorrow and see if any of the boys have still to buy their tickets. Great idea, the system allowing strangers to buy tickets for kids but not allowing their parents to do so.

Total pain in the arse buying tickets online. I went to get our season ticket seats but the system only allows you to add 2 kids tickets per adult ticket. I have my son,s mate assigned as well as my two kids so that means I will have to go to the bother of going to ER unless I can sort another was of doing it. It would be mad if it let me buy a single kids ticket as that would defeat the purpose of the restriction. Why the hell would there be a policy put in place to restrict children coming to the game anyway. Bonkers.

I'm delighted this looks like selling out. Great effort from everyone involved.
Amazing coincidence that all those with other commitments, kids, no money and unable to travel to midweek games all of a sudden have no commitments, no kids, enough money and are perfectly able to travel for this one! Maybe we should play all our games on Tuesday evenings if this is the type of crowd we get instead of those awkward Saturday afternoons when we can only muster up a crowd of about 10k!

My opinion is that the excuses about midweek games being no good for fans are exactly that; excuses.
My reason behind that is this game against Hearts is a midweek game and will be our biggest attendance at Easter Road in over 20 years if it sells out. Just goes to show that midweek games are perfectly suitable if people can be bothered. Not trolling, but a fact.
And if you insist on making me read the forum rules before I post can you at least point out which of them you think I'm breaking? Cheers

Simple matter of fact that people are more inclined to set aside any plans they have to make a midweek derby rather than a midweek game vs Dumbarton.

Don't you think that many people will make one off arrangements to go to big games? People are travelling, taking time off work, getting babysitters, even just budgeting to buy the extra ticket. Something they couldn't do for a run of the mill game?
It's easy for people with little or no commitments to judge imo. Instead of slating them how about saying well done for making the extra effort.

Calm down mate, it's not compulsory to go to every game. This is a big game and Hibs fans are making an effort to attend. Let's celebrate the fact that even as a championship club we can draw a crowd in excess of 20000 to support OUR club

Of course it's easy to pass judgement, passing judgment is the easiest thing in the world to do!
However, despite what you, Marinello and Pretty Boy are trying to make out, I am not suggesting that people shout simply attend all games or else be labeled a 'bad fan' (c) Pretty Boy.
My my point was specifically about people complaining about midweek games being unsuitable for attending as we had a thread on last week regarding the Rangers and Falkirk games. This Hearts game just shows that there's nothing wrong with midweek games at all IMO and it's simply a case of whether or not people can be bothered making the effort, as you said in your post.

I'm not suggesting your saying that at all. I'm saying we should be delighted that those who normally can't come for whatever reason are managing to make the game.
Of course there will be some who moan about midweek games who will be moaning for the sake of moaning and have every intention of going anyway. Folk are like that :)
And stop being so judgemental! :p

Considering the number of times we've been slapped in the face in recent years, I think it's credit to the loyalty of the Hibs support that we still have a hardcore home attendance of 8-9k. Every team has a group of fans that only turn out for the more glamorous games or in the good times. I think we can be proud that we have such a big core support.

The insinuation in your post was clear, that you don't really believe it's a 'coincidence' that some people can't make every game. That's a pretty thinly veiled dig right there.
You seem completely unable to absorb the point that this is a game where people may well make a special effort; be that paying for a babysitter, diverting funds from another luxury or using lieu time at work to attend that they may be unable to do every week.
I'd love our regular attendances to be better but equally I understand that having a Monday to Friday job, a partner who works weekends and a reasonable disposable income means I am in a more fortunate position than others who may have to be a bit more choosy in the games they attend.

That's very much my point. I will categorically say that I believe people are more willing to make the effort to come to this game over the upcoming midweek games against Morton or Falkirk for example. I am not and have not hidden or denied that. My point was and still remains that the people moaning about midweek fixtures are just using the changes as an excuse not to go because they do not feel that it's worth their while. The inevitable sell out of this midweek fixture just goes to show that if people think it's worth it then they'll go and all the excuses as to why they can't make the Falkirk or Morton games go out the window.
The difference with this midweek game is that edinburgh schools are on holiday.

I doubt that makes that big a difference. Maybe one or two but not 10,000 people!
I think you should boycott the game in protest at all these glory hunters. [emoji23]

But I had the same error when trying to buy my son a ticket for a league game back in November! So its not a new problem.
Sounds like a long standing problem, likely on Ticketmaster's end, and until there was a significant demand for tickets the issue was seen as a minor issue. TM likely need to go in and sort out code, test it and make sure nothing else breaks, but that may mean online ticketing has to go offline for a while while they fix the bug and no online ticketing at a time like this would result in uproar.

If it does turn out to be a full house then let's just be happy that it is. Whether it's glory hunters, fans who normally don't turn up at midweek because they have other arrangements, it's not on the telly, couldn't get a babysitter, washing their hair etc etc. All this bickering does my nut in.
Turn up, enjoy and fingers crossed that we progress to the next round which I'm predicting right now won't be a sell out.
A happy clapper.

Exactly. Personally I don't like seeing our ground half empty every week. It's gonna be nice to sell out for a change, would say the same about the final. Definitely rather see 40,000 hibs fans than the 9000 or so core fans.

My guess is you have answered the question yourself. They possibly gave every ticket holder 10 loyalty points and then decided that those with Cup Top Ups don't get the extra 10 points as they have not "bought" a ticket. I should make it clear - I have no idea and am guessing.

Was it added twice in error by any chance? If it's not added before the game then I'd get in touch with Hibs next week when they are quieter.
I've got CTU too and my 10 points were added on 06/02/2016

My opinion is that the excuses about midweek games being no good for fans are exactly that; excuses.
My reason behind that is this game against Hearts is a midweek game and will be our biggest attendance at Easter Road in over 20 years if it sells out. Just goes to show that midweek games are perfectly suitable if people can be bothered. Not trolling, but a fact.
And if you insist on making me read the forum rules before I post can you at least point out which of them you think I'm breaking? Cheers
I'm going to the game on Tuesday, it will be my 3rd game in a row and 4th this season. This game as the other two excite me, thats the reason i'm going with another 4 people who have been even less than i have.

while seeming to do a sterling job, selling tickets up to this point, it will end up with a lot of fans upset at this. I can understand frustrations with not being able to buy kids tickets online but they've moved the goalposts ,so to speak, for ordinary people who have been prepared for queueing on Friday to get the last tickets. why not just make it open on SUNDAY 12 midday and will close when it is sold out? we have to put up with football on Sunday/Friday nights, what's wrong with paying staff on Sunday and get it sorted?

The problem for people ordering kids tickets seems to be something at ticketmasters end and hibs would have only so much say and levy to fix what's going on so in the short term this is the correct decision but in the long term this needs to be addressed.

Suggests they'll be using Sunday to double check everything and deal with outstanding problem cases. Only once they've confirmed /cleared up all sales to ST holders can they safely sell the remainder. Getting that wrong would just cause more grief for more people.

Maybe they can't afford to attend every match....or work during the week making travel more difficult...
So in turn may have borrowed that extra bit of money for this match (clearly can't borrow for every match), or have taken a days holiday to be able to make it (and don't have the holiday allowance to do that every midweek game).
If I lived in Blackpool I would probably only come up for the really important games too. Give the guy a break. :-)

Cool. I had to read it umpteen times before I saw it.
This type of discussion has been raised many a time and I personally think it is so wrong to point the finger at anyone IMHO.
I followed Hibs Home and away for 8 years and went on the same bus with the same folk for that duration.
Some folks circumstances changed and only managed some games but did any of us point the finger No.
I think the point I'm trying to make is we are going to have a great crowd regardless of who attends and folk should just concentrate on themselves rather than point the blame or the finger at folk who don't go week in week out.

If you have a season ticket I think the default setting is access added to card unless you change it to some other delivery/pick up method. It's quite simple, I really don't know what all the fuss is about.

Still not received my ticket yet, tried the ticket office asking if they could send me out the pdf file but since I went for the postal option they can't help me. Just going to wait till Saturday. If nothing happens looks like im not going. Next time im definitely ticking collection or print at home.

Just got an email from the ticket office, it was sent out yesterday. I've been thinking it was sent out on Tuesday... Panic over should be here tomorrow or Monday... Definitely printing from home next time lol!
I'm talking about the game on Tuesday by the way.

Print at home is the way forward if you don't have a ST.
If for any reason it doesn't arrive today, tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday morning then go to the ticket office with reference and they will give you a ticket.
I wouldn't not go

Incidentally, picked up tickets half an hour ago, and there were no queues for anything.

My old man bought the cup top up at the start of the season with his season ticket. Does he automatically get his seat for The replay or does he need to do anything?

Does need to do anything. Just show up with his season card.

How do you go about changing your delivery method?

It gives you the option when you are buying the tickets.

When I bought my reserved season ticket seat, I wasn't given any delivery option at all. Seems to be defaulting to adding access to the card, without option to change. In my case, anyway.

When you add a home cup game to your season ticket, that's exactly what happens. There are no other options available

Did the same for me and my brother. No reason why anybody buying their own reserved seat would want to use print at home, collect or delivered by Royal Mail.
Just done ours. Didn't see the need to rush to do it earlier in the week when there was plenty time.
