Neilson's just been on the radio saying that he's got his team training with 12 men this week.
Still reading through this thread but that was brilliant Matty :greengrin:thumbsup:

All referees make mistakes, because they are only human and no-one is perfect. Thomson is a human being, despite what some on here would suggest.
Most referees in Scotland are incompetent, but they are all we've got. Thomson is generally incompetent, as his frequent mistakes in other games prove.
Only one referee in Scotland is a cheat, and that's who we have on Sunday. Thomson has a history of shafting us, as we all remember.
I'm not surprised though that the puddle drinkers are high-sixing each other over his involvement. They'll be able to kick lumps out of our players to prevent us playing football and know that no action will be taken, whilst any of our players within five yards risks a booking as soon as their player dives.
Betting against Hibs may feel unnatural, but this is a genuine opportunity to bury your bookie.

Craig Thomson is a card happy referee who makes lots of mistakes. This season in every Hearts game he has refereed he has dished out more cards to Hearts than the opposing team. Source http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/craig-thomson/profil/schiedsrichter/149
I looked at the games he refereed during a previous thread and he gives out more cards than any other referee in Scotland. Sundays game will be the same.

That ref tonight was absolutely brutal. Summed up at the end when Mcgeouch was taken out and he played on, you'd be forgiven for thinking he wanted Morton to score.

do yo stay next door to Black? big mate of yours? you have twice inferred that there was nothing wrong with the ref's decisions in the final. oh aye, we will have to get on with it, but we will forever remember what that ******* did during the final. the ggie mob, will forever remember it for different reasons, but none that Ihave met can ever admit thaere were wrongs, that had massive effect on the start of the second half.
I don't know where you are getting this from.
I stated my hopes of winning the cup rose when I thought Black was going to be sent off, I was disappointed obviously when he wasn't.
I have repeatedly stated that the penalty should not have been given as it was outside the box.
The one decision I have no gripe with was the sending off of Kujabi, he had to go for a second yellow card.
Hope this sets the record straight as you obviously haven't read my posts correctly.

Just get the baw down and play. He's irrelevant.
Not if he gives a penalty when it isnt, he became very relevant in that final. We didnt have the best team but we were still in the game, to not even book Black and then the penalty makes him relevant. We can play well and it can be undone with one decision and this guy is very very capable of that.

Maybe worth noting that a booking for any of Paterson, Pallardo, Ozturk or Alexander rules them out of a replay if it comes to that.

In a nutshell we would all be very surprised if any of the names mentioned above will be booked.
It will be good to see his reaction to the first 'strong' tackle by a yam player and then to one of our own.
My experience of him in recent years and he seems to get the card out even before the opposing player hits the ground.
I hope I am wrong but I really do fear C will play a very large part in this game today and it will be towards one of our own!!

Scary reading like the article says it would never happen to the Old Firm.
Im afraid we will all be talking about his incompetence today again after the game.
He is a CHEAT of the highest order and I'm disgusted that he has again been appointed for this fixture. Serious questions need to be asked by our club as to why he always gets the gig when we play them.

Once again Mr Thomson excelled himself.
Let them away with constant fouling, McGhee and Pallardo should have been straight off.
How does this guy get appointed to Hibs matches?
Surely a case for the Hibs Board to officially complain and the fans reps to keep us posted on what they are doing about it.
It scares me that this man (can't by any stretch of the imagination call him a referee) could be in charge of the replay.

Not come across such a cynical, destructive side since the 1970's Rangers.
Every time a Hibs player looked like he was getting past, he was hauled down or dragged back. While we often got the FK, Thompson should have booked them - plain and simple.
The Yams don't like it up 'um. If they finish with 11 men at the Replay, I'll be astonished. Unless Ct is the ref, of course.

They were talking about refs' performance on Off the Ball.
Someone phoned or emailed a question to ask what they thought of Thomson's performance at the 2012 Cup Final.
Michael Stewart pretended not to know why the question was asked, "couldn't remember anything in Thomson's performance which merited discussion."
He knew alright.

He did, but I think he said it expecting a reaction (perhaps expecting that Tam and Stuart C would pick it up - however as they are not from Edinburgh and probably dont give a flying **** about hibs that didnt happen) and then the conversation had moved on.
Stewart is a decent pundit IMO and at least has the guts to speak out about refs unlike the rest.
What really got me was the comment by Charlie Richmond about Thomson only getting that final as he was on the list for a major championships that year, so the SFA pretty much HAD to put him in charge.
They then got on to the fact that the useless arse Collum is on the list this summer...........so guess who will probably take charge of the Scottish Cup final !!

He's may be a decent pundit but it doesn't stop him being a Jambo fud. His reply yesterday shows clearly that, while he does generally try to take an objective view, and is quite happy to be controversial, he can't avoid his views being influenced by his support for Hertz. Same as Ruchard Gordon with the Dons.
