What is it likely to be?

Dingwall has a population of 5500. Obviously RC will pull support from a wider area though. Realistically how many tickets could they sell? How many did they have at Hampden today?

They could sell 10k max but I think it will be closer to 7-8k.

Against Killie in 2007 we got 37k and Killie got 10k. Minimum 35k for us I would say. Usually up to 5k for sponsors but unless it's Edinburgh Derby or one or both ugly sisters then normally take up of sponsors and debentures is lower.

If you want a ticket then you will get one!!

IMHO it has to be pointed members first then general sale.

Hibs should let anyone with points buy at the same time as this would mean that mates in different brackets can get seats together. No point giving ST holders extra tickets when IIRC there are about 30,000 Hibs fans on points of some sort, they should all get first shout before ST second tickets. Perhaps after those sales then ST holders get a shot at buying a second ticket.

I think RC should be given the opportunity of selling as many tickets as they can

They could, for instance, be allocated the West End of the South Lower and also sell tickets in the West Stand in blocks starting at the south end. If there are any sections still unsold, the option should be given to Hibs to sell those tickets.

Absolutely, and I agree with you, everyone who wants to go will get a ticket. However as has been debated continuously this season there is a loyality scheme and these are the occasions it should be used. Can't see the club doing anything other than using it TBH. Like I said, before general sale perhaps give ST holders a second bite of the cherry.

That will more than likely happen in a general sale which take place after season ticket holders have had their chance first. I expect prices to be decent for this as I would think the SFA will want to encourage fans to attend rather than have a half empty stadium.

Why?
Provided a sensible way of selling the tickets which allows people to buy tickets for friends/family and sit together I'm sure we'll sell as many tickets as we can get. We sold out 37K for Livi final, though we were a premier league club at the time there was much less of a feel good factor around Blobby Williamsons team back then.

We will sell in excess of 30,000 no problem.

As starter we will be given

The entire North Stand (around 11,400)
The entire East Stand (around 12,800)
Half the South stand availability (about 6-7,000 as a guess once debentures etc. are held back)

so that's roughly 31,000.

If we sell that little lot (we will) we will get what County cant sell in the West and unsold debentures etc. Potentially another 10,000 I reckon.

Anyone who want's will get.

Think as long as hibs don't restrict tickets too much then these will sell well, Go through the point structure if they must letting people buy two tickets then on general sale let them buy as many as they want i very much doubt anyone wanting a ticket for this will miss out

Expecting a huge support. A great chance to lure back some fans who won't have been in a while. Sack 'the glory hunting' chat too, as someone who's at almost every game I'd much rather 40K hibees than the core 8/9K.

This. Looking to bring my wife and two sons to this one. Both my boys are Hibs daft, despite only my eldest having been to one game. We'd shift 35,000 easy.

Ross County will do well take 8,000 and I reckon we'll do really well to sell 30,000 tickets. I'd be very surprised if attendance exceeds 40,000.

Simply don't believe we'll sell anything over 30,000 and not overly concerned either way to be honest.

Just praying for a win.

:agree: If we have an initial allocation of 30,000 I think that anyone with 20 points and above (IIRC there are about 13k fans at that level) should be able to buy two tickets then wave 2 (1-19 points) which is about 7K fans. Depending on how many tickets are left, one or two tickets. A General Sale afterwards if any tickets left.

I'd do away with loyalty points for this game. There is no need to award them because everyone will be there.

For me, as long as ST's get first shot then that'll be enough. 2 per ST holder will get the ball rolling.

They will set the band well above 20 points in order to keep the sales manageable. Having 13000 fans trying to buy tickets on day one would lead to a lot of frustration. It doesn't matter, everybody will get tickets.

Yep needs to be more so that people can sit together. Was it not one each at the semi final v Hearts?

Two each per season ticket would be my shout and if people need more than that will need to wait until a later sale. Bottom line is everyone that wants a ticket will get them.

All season ticket holders should be able to purchase as many as they like. Give them 3 days to buy these tickets, then after that its a free for all.

No need for loyalty bollocks for this one, just as there's been no need for it in any game we've played in this season.

And get them on sale as soon as possible.

This 100%.

Usual rules, ST holders get first dibs and I'd say max 4 to allow families etc. to sit together.

It's not like ST holders are going to buy extra just for the sake of it, they will only take what the need.

The club have to make season tickets look valuable and by prioritising the sale of cup final tickets then there is more reason to keep purchasing STs. I don't mind Hampden but there is plenty who complain so I would think that giving ST holders first choice on the best seats then again adds value to the ST.
The two trips to Tynecastle and now Hampden have made this years season ticket seem a good purchase so hopefully it might boost the uptake for next season, along with promotion and a cup win of course!

The great thing about days like this is that it gives everybody the chance to see the potential of this club and not only that, the potential of Scottish football in general if we ever manage to get things right.

Turn outs for finals in recent years by fans of the 'less fashionable clubs' have shown that there is still an affection for our game and that folk identify with their local clubs, even if its a job getting them to turn out regularly.

The only final recently in either cup competition where the crowd didn't match or exceed expectation was the 2013 LC final crowd of 44,000. St Mirren sold 15,000 tickets which means if you take out a couple of thousand for corporate etc the Yams only sold circa 27,000 tickets .... a poor show from a club with 400,000 fans ..... especially for a trophy they haven't won in 50 odd years :greengrin

There games against Celtic still had segregation. We are starting to become worse than them for obsessing over attendances. Get over it, they had more fans turn up every week than us last season. We took many thousands to important games, getting behind the club, and ultimately helping win the Scottish Cup. It's about time we started worrying about home and if/when we start selling out every week we can start laughing at others.
