Maybe as good an individual performance from a Hibs player in my living memory. Outstanding.

Good to hear/read. Seemed to be a wee bit jaded recently, glad he is back to his dazzling best. BIG player for us.

Wish he'd finished off his run at the end to cap a fine performance but a winning goal in a semi final is good enough i suppose :greengrin

McGinn, McGeough, Fyvie and Henderson were all superb today. Took the game to St Johnstone, scrapped for everything and showed no little quality.

Anyone thinking Hearts are going to walk over the top of us next week needs their head looked at. We have some real grit about us in midfield.

Future Scotland star in the making. He's immense. Let's hope we can keep him for at least 2-3 seasons and then cash in for millions. If he'd buried that chance near the end of the game after that run and turn it would've been one of the best goals I've ever seen. So happy he signed on a 4 year deal.

He was amazing, it looks like he's finding form again judging by the last two games which is great news. He danced past players like they weren't there today. Wonderful goal to send us to Hampden :hibees

He dominated that match today, in 40 years time when I'm old and grey, I won't remember the goals, the score or the weather, but I'll never forget how utterly dominant that laddie was today, he wanted that win, the whole team wanted that win, the togetherness in that squad right now is a joy to watch, even when we're playing rubbish it's all too evident how much the players would run through brick walls for the management and each other.

His running style is part of his strength, IMO. Low centre of gravity, deceptive.. he beats players before they come to him.

There's no I in team, and I feel that with Hibs at the moment. Really great bunch of lads, and Im feeling confident about promotion (Playoff or title won't matter in the end). While not forgetting a very tough game against Morton away, bring on they Jambos, and go there proud and strong! :gwa:

I agree except not sure it will take until 2018 before clubs come calling. One of those players I enjoy whilst he is here. Only upside is it will take a lot of money and a big sell on clause to sign him. In the meantime Mr. McGinn I would say in all my time (56 years) that is as good a individual performance that I have seen in a Hibs shirt. Thank you.

Carries on like that he's destined to play at the highest level - outstanding performance, and great goal.

All our mids have recovered from injuries and are hitting form at the same time. Bet Stokes cannot wait to get a full 90 with this lot.

McGinn will be playing at a higher level in the future. He may well end up going to Celtic first and then onto the English Premiership.

I just hope Hibs can keep him for another season, at least. Just one more reason Hibs must get out of the Championship. Players of that quality will not want to play at that level for too long, and the financial rewards are far higher elsewhere obviously.

Future Scotland and hibs captain. He obviously showed confidence today. In fact all our players were confident today and didn't let the head drop.

Exciting times to be a fan of Hibernian indeed. Now onto hertz I'm going to say 2-1 hibs.

Set the tone with a piercing run in the first two minutes and only got better after that

Worry is that Hearts are a big hoofball team of hammer throwers and they will be
a) queuing up to take a kick at him
b) employing St Johnstone's hoofball tactics times 10.

We'll have to be up for a fight.

Agreed. It would have topped one of the best all round displays by a Hibby since the days of Latapy and Sauzee. McGinn is kind of both of these great players rolled into one IMO. :not worth:not worth

Our midfield 4 looks very strong

Quite unbelievable at times the way he holds on to a ball, even when he had fallen over. His blend of strength and skill is going to make him a top class player imho. Every bit as good as the unfortunately injury prone Jack Wilshere.

Thought folk might want to see what we were saying about SJM 2 and a half years ago. Nothing has changed and so many predictions true.

It was just before a Hearts game, anyone remember what happened in that match?
