I don't care how we get there just as long as we get to the final, quite like a penalty shootout though.

Scouse I hope the disappointment from last year's Scottish semi defeat by Falkirk will spur the boys on to great things tomorrow. I'm sure it will. I don't want the same feeling I had trappsing out of Hampden last year at the Wongadome tomorrow. (But no pens please)

I agree mate, it"s murder losing in a semi I'm under no illusions though, tomorrow will be a very tough game for Hibs.

We have went from not losing a penalty shootout ( Scottish team ) to losing the last two .

Strange that people are saying they don't want to lose at the semi stage. Not long ago a lot of people wee saying it would have been better to get beaten.

Tomorrow will be a real tough one for me, considering I won't be able to make the final. :boo hoo:

What kind of wind up would that be?
I was having a conversation with my mate about the game but we weren't sure if the game had to be settled tomorrow or if if could go to a replay. So I asked.
Thanks for the info, Johhnyboy.

The format has been the same for years, when was the last time there was a replay in The League Cup? I don't know the answer to that one.

Every round of the league cup is played to a finish, it's been that way for about 25 years.

To the best of my (somewhat hazy) memory there have never been replays in the League Cup in all the years I've been regularly following Hibs - which is since the late 1980's.

I don't care how we get there just as long as we get to the final, quite like a penalty shootout though.I used to like the odd shoot out, until a couple of years ago at ER v Hamilton. we used to win more than lose, not sure about today but it may well go to Extra time as I have thought for a while. If it does, and Stubbs gets his tactics correct, I do think we have a squad capable of doing it that way. Stokes in reserve, until 60mins unless we are chasing the game

I've never known a replay in the League Cup, I'm guessing that when they changed the format from the sections to make it more like the Scottish Cup they kept it a one shot deal to keep it slightly different from the Scottish
