Hi was wondering if anyone has had experience of interviews with hsbc? I have an interview tomorrow getting slightly nervous as I'm really wanting a new job as well as it being my first interview in about 15 years was hoping for some tips or hints, I've spent time checking over their values and other points on there website I have a face to face and a role play scenario tomorrow trying to get a little more preparation in place.
thanks for any help in advance

If it's a role play scenario I assume it's for a customer facing sales type role?
In these scenarios make sure you ask lots of questions probe for more answers. Lots of open questions. Then summarise at the end to confirm you understanding of the persons needs / position.

Very much so, with these interviews the interviewer has a page full of information. Your job is to get as much of it as possible. They should almost be doing more talking than you.

Had interview on Friday went quite well I think always find it difficult to judge so just sitting with everything crossed and hoping for the best, made a slight error on the role play but quickly realised and put it right so hopefully get away with that found the face 2 face quite tough going but 6 questions all answered, thanks for everyone's input and tips it really helped settle me down and get somethings prepared. Cheers

I've been on both sides of interviews recently and I always think one of the most important things is enthusiasm for the specific role you've applied for. Should come for free I know but not always the case.
If you've been invited for interview then you've probably satisfied the qualification/experience criteria. So be confident - it's also about you deciding whether the role is suitable for yourself.
Good luck mate, hope it goes well.
