Anyway welcome back KT.

Things are really looking positive about the place right now, you cant help but sense we are moving in the right direction.

Having said that on a personal level I've now got a serious face ache that I cant go on saturday

"He would have crawled down the M9 on broken glass to return..."

I look forward to seeing if he's still got anything left in the tank tomorrow.

Is he injured?? Welcome back Kevin. No matter what has gone on in the past can you imagine the unbelievable feeling it must be to sign for your team again when you would never have thought it would happen

Hopefully plays a big part in our midfield, they are crying out for some real experience in there to help out, i reckon mcginn, mcgeouch and henderson will enjoy playing in the same side as him

Left sided and deeper of a two man midfield?

Hahaha. My knees are worse than James McPakes. Also my cavalier attacking style wouldn't fit in at the RECs!!!

Didn't play in Dundee's only league cup game this season so he's available for the semi final

Glad to have him back - nothing to lose with that length of contract, and a cert to sign an extension if we want him for longer.

Brilliant for the first team as a calming midfield influence if needed and brilliant for the academy to see a mentor who can guide the development of young aspiring players.
I can't think of any other Hibs players that have "returned" twice ?

I'd guess he'll either get an extension or switch to an exclusively coaching role.

Nothing against KT and never got on the hatefest when he jumped ship for Der Hun in spite of the ill-advised comments. I was pleased when he returned the first time.

This time round however, I just can't see what he offers us on the park except sideways slowed down football. If he's being fitted up for a coaching role, fair enough, but can't see him displacing any of our current midfield.

The way I see it he is a replacement in the squad for Stanton. Therefore are we stronger with Thomson in the squad than Stanton. In my view yes

Sideways/slowing it down, he played that way under Butcher on the few occasions that any midfielder was involved. Great addition to the squad.

Joking aside, we lack experience in the side, so I think that Kevin definitely brings that to the side. He won't play every game, but he'll definitely help bring others on.

This is a good signing, I think. You need an experienced head in the heart of the team a la Murdo and Le Dieu

Aye, watch out for the physios' pay rise demand.

Very pleased to see KT back home. Still a great player when fit IMO. We have a strong enough squad to cope with his absence when necessary and I think he'll improve the team when fit to play. That alongside the coaching role makes this a win-win.

In all honesty, I wouldn't have signed Kevin for a third spell, preferring to look ahead. That said, if he can be fit often enough to make a contribution, it might work out well. Low expectations from me, so there's nothing to lose by it.

I expect this to be primarily a coaching role and if he's also able to provide a bit of experienced back up to the playing side then even better.

I expect his playing opportunities to be very limited but you never know.

I expect him to play a few games and do well. Dundee fans seem to think he was one of their best players and they just wished he could stay fit.

I would agree, I don't expect to see much of him in the first team.

Having said that, if he does feature then I assume that means McGeouch will be placed further forward through the middle, or on the flank and that makes us more dangerous.

Glad KT is back. If it wasn't for injuries he'd be playing for a top English championship side or even a lower EPL team. He will bring a lot of needed experience to the team.

I think he will play more than you think obviously injury permitting. It mentions he is in the squad for today so a great option to have.

Signed and in the squad, I expect him to play more than is suggested on here.By all accounts was bossing the midfield in games for Dundee so a start for us in the championship must be a reality. I was against us signing him for a third time due to his injury concerns however if fit we may as well use him while we can.

Was a farce Butcher being allowed to let him go in the first place.

This is a great development opportunity for Kitty!
I thought in the relegation season we were actually better when Kevin wasn't in the team, he slowed the game down too much. We may benefit from him in the bigger games when we need to retain the ball but against the majority of the championship I think playing KT allows our opponents to regroup and get men behind the ball.
