View Full Version : The Draw

I know it's been done to death, but why the **** is the draw not on tonight? I'm back in the house after being at the game, I've just watched the late game on tv and I'm waiting for sportscene so I can watch the goals back. The only thing missing from what has been a great day(I even met peter douglas) is the draw for the next round.
Anyway who do we fancy in the next round, I'd like a premiership team at Easter Road or someone like Dunfermline away.

The blazers can have a nice late lunch on Monday if they put the draw off until then.

Anyway anyone at home, preferably the lowest placed team left, but wouldn't mind an away tie to somewhere different if it happened.

6.15 apparently. Somehow or other the sense of occasion will not be the same in two days time.

Monday at 6:15 is marginally better then Monday at lunchtime.

It''s still shocking that these people seem to have no idea how best to publicize and make the most of the event.

On TV before/after one of the games is the best time.

Not on Monday when many people have forgotten about it. Surprised England's is Monday because they usually have it on a televised game. Either way that doesn't make the Scottish time any better or worse.

That's why it's Monday keeps the competition and more importantly the sponsors name (do we have one) in the news. Sunday Monday papers all about the results, Tuesday about the draw. means people are talking about it for longer. Simples

.....I'm sure BL didn't need one as well (in fact I know he didn't due to my ex job) - best ever player I've seen in the flesh in Scottish football (Laudrup).

The key tech railway stand was the place to be.

It's a pain waiting but I think it's gradually improved over time and I seem to remember waiting weeks to find out not that long ago. The draw for the 2007 semi was made a good two weeks after the quarters had finished.

As for who to face? dross at home please. If not then dross away. Not frightened of anyone with the team we have, I'd just like all the better teams to sort it out between themselves letting us progress easily. (That's it jinxed and we'll no doubt be away to celtic).

Last time we played them we won.

No reason to think another Hibernian victory would not be the outcome.

Getting Hearts would be a great tie but would settle for the winners of the East Kilbride match at home.

Saw this on twitter, could it be an omen :greengrin

Did Laudrup receive an EBT? The scheme ran from 2000 to 2010 although there were allegations that it may have happened in the 90s, the list of players didn't include him. Just in the interests of balance.

Anyway, I agree, the best player I ever watched in the flesh in Scotland. To bring it back to Hibernian, the best thing was, we did a few wins against Rangers with Gascoigne and Laudrup and Celtic with Larsson and Sutton etc.

Hutchie Vale at Easter Rd please.

The draw should be today.

IF both Old Firm get through, I'd love to see them drawn against each other. It might also mean that Rangers take an eye of the league with all the hype around an upcoming Old Firm game.

It would also shut all the Sevco fans up that actually think they could currently be competing with Celtic at top of SPL.

I think it's part of the cup rules that we have to get a certain percentage of the ground, therefore yes. Aberdeen got the whole away stand on Saturday
