Apologies if this has already been posted
Was told on Monday that the " Craws Nest" ,Anstrutrher has closed and is being converted to sheltered housing
Will always be remembered as one of the venues for the Mercer V Duff & Gray meetings re "the take over "
Was there on a few occasions and listened to the arguments and counter arguments long into the night :flag:
Their " Fish and chip teas " were excellent value for money as were their wedding receptions !!

Edith Bowman?
That is it.
Edith Bowman?
It's was indeed. The family live 2 doors down from Craws Nest... Well her mum does anyway.
Her brother runs (or did) the Larach Mohr Pub down Pittenweem Harbour and the Ship inn in Elie before that.

Well past its sell buy date.

The Bowmans sold the hotel to a chain who don't seem to have put in the money needed to maintain it. I'm sad to hear about this as my aunt lived near there and used to take us to the Craw's Nest for meals when we visited.
