Ibrox tickets thread. You'll also be posting on Hearts ticket thread looking for one. Every times theres a big game you do it. Now I admire that you want to travel up and support the team but the loyalty point system is what it is. You and may others are in the same position. Thats the way it goes.

Read the Ibrox thread again please. I never begged for a ticket I said that If it got to my level I'd get one. So in fact you were incorrect and are wrong. Read it again then come back to me. Plus I have my 100 points from HSL to add to my current points so might be ok going forward :-)

They wont be added in time for any of these matches, realistically only 1 big game left. Cup matches and if at Hampden then everyone will get a ticket, the only exception being the scottish cup quarters if we get there.

Looks like 11,500 Hibs fans only as Saints have sold their allocation and will request the 500 for the main stand. Not sure how the segregation will work for that?!

Going to be a great atmosphere and full house!

The Saints fans will obviously have the end block nearest the rest of their fans. Im pretty sure segregation wont be a problem if you consider the likes of United and Liverpool at Anfield and Spurs and Arsenal, not exactly the friendliest of rivals manage with a line of stewards between the two sets of fans. Away fans separated in such a way is common place in the EPL and occurs like that in the majority of grounds. It shoudnt be an issue.

How are the tickets going?

Down collecting mine today, offered end sections in Gorgie Road end, Lower Wheatfield closest to the Roseburn, and a handful in the upper, and a section in the Main Stand.

Looks like the last batch will only have between 1500 and 2000 going by what they showed me.

Also said Sundays tickets selling very well, still some left but selling extremely well last week or so.

Heard that St Johnstone are wanting so many tickets in the main stand as enquires have well outnumbered ticket allocation in the stand they've been given.

This info was from a member of tynecastle staff. Not sure how accurate it is only passing on what I was informed.

We'd sold just over 1000 at the start of the week. If Stokes signs today, I think we'll sell out the full 1,800. People need to remember that there will be no tickets on sale at the stadium on Sunday tho

You need to add your old man to your 'network' on the ticketing site. You'll need his client reference number to do that. When you've added him his name will then appear from a drop-down list when it asks you to assign the second ticket.

Edit: I should add that to add him to your network you click on your name at the very top of the ticketing home page, and then on 'My Network'.

If you already have him added to your group then just go to the second ticket and there is an option to reassign it.

If you've not added his client reference to your account then you need to do this first.

Were St Johnstone given the chance of 50% of the available tickets?

If they were then fair enough, if not then it's a bit unfair for a national semi final in a smallish neutral stadium yet only receive 3,800 then it's out of order. If they did initially have the chance to request 50% of the stadium and they turned it down then that's fair game

A mid week night time game against rangers is completely different to a 3 o clock v St Johnstone on a Saturday. The stadium would have been 40% full at best and the atmosphere would've been rank.

Rightly or wrongly the game being in hampden would also have put people off who don't want to travel.

I agree would have put people off that don't want to travel. However I'll hazard a guess and say same folk will be desperate to get a final ticket and be willing to travel then.
As for *********** or hampden not really bothered but the more our team play there the more they will get used to it enjoy it and hopefully wanting to repeat the process. This in its self could give us the edge one day in the other competitions final.

Maybe folk like to sit with mates who don't have the same number of points. Thats the down side of the points system and one ticket per person. There's no way everyone entitled to one ticket in the first tranche will buy one.

Will it still be ok for me to get tickets even if this new wave is for folk with 1 loyalty point and I have 180?

Sorry if that's me being daft. :greengrin

Yes as long as the client reference hasn't been used in a previous wave you can still buy, however I'd imagine remaining tickets will be sold by Wednesday as there will only be 2,000 ish left with it basically being a general sale from tomorrow as most people will have 1 point

Think row 26 is the back row in the roseburn, so i'd guess it'd be the same in the gorgie end. It's either row 26 or row 28 that is the back row at the roseburn end, can never remember.

The "points thresholds" that signal the availability of the next wave of tickets are a minimum number, not like the sole number you MUST have for those tickets to be available to you.

Relatively painless for this wave, although the eTicketing site was doing an upgrade in the minutes before 10am. All the decent seats seem to have gone to those with waaaayyyy more loyalty points than me.

The e-ticketing was down this morning when I was trying to enter at 10.05am. Said it could take up to 30 mins which made me really worried, I could potentially miss out. Finally managed to get onto the site and when I went to log-in, my details weren't being recognised for some reason? Even though they were the correct details. Reset my password to see if that worked and it did! Purchased my ticket, no problem and can't wait! I'm sitting in section G Wheatfield lower.

Are tickets going slowly? Sure this will sell out quickly when the public sale starts, plus if this was at Hampden they would have probably made it 2 for every season ticket holder.

Would have preferred Hampden, but with hindsight you are right. With such a small allocation I expected a struggle to get tickets today, but had a wide choice of sections and even with it open to - as you say everyone whose been in last 2 yrs (20k)- all day, there are still tickets available.

Saints fans seem to be in the dark, but they sold out the Roseburn end about a week and a half ago.

The only tickets on the Hibs website are at the sides (mostly upper) of the Gorgie Rd end, and the near end of the main stand (upper and lower). Although there aren't any dots to count, so don't know how many seats are available.

Don't agree. It's down to the ticketing system. If the game was at Hampden and we could get 2 per ST then there would be a lot more tickets sold as people would be going in bigger groups. The loyalty system means people will be buying in smaller batches at a lower rate

Just had a quick look on their fans forum and seems an absolute shambles they haven't been given the extra 500 they were promised if they sold out the Roseburn.

http://www.weareperth.co.uk/wapforum/index.php?/topic/24528-semi-final-tickets/&page=13

I reckon they didn't except them to sell the Roseburn so quickly and now have to put the 500 in the same stand as Hibs fans. While I wouldn't except issues between fans I reckon how this is done logistically is why it's taking so long to sort.

It also seems no one has section N tickets which is the front of main stand closest to Roseburn - hopefully that area won't lie empty.

However I can also see Police Scotland's stance (if it is actually them delaying any further allocation) as generally speaking St Johnstone would normally have struggled to sell the Roseburn.

If they are going to have a pop at our club & fans for something we have absolutely nothing to do with us then yes I will have a go at their support at home games. Looking at their first few fixtures minus playing Hearts at McDermid Park they have struggled to get 3k through the door yet are complaining that they aren't getting an extra 500 tickets that they were told from the off would only potentially be available if they sold the Roseburn.

Of course they would expect to take a bigger support for a semi final/final as we all do, but am i not right in saying that even in 2007 they were only allocated the Roseburn?

Poor show from the SPFL (or whichever body it was) by saying that the section in the main stand will be released once a team sells out. I don't believe for one minute that they hadn't thought about the issues of segregation, (they're now saying that the hold up is due to the fact we will be sharing a stand and concourse) they just never expected them to sell out and given our attendances in SF and finals they must have expected us to do so quite easily at which point they give us the tickets but they look good because they have made the section available to both sides.

Not really hibs news but still no word from the SPFL regarding St.Johnstones extra tickets. They've been asking for ages since they sold out the Roseburn and have been met with silence.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment for a non televised game that people are trying to make travel arrangements for.

Fans are simply an afterthought once again. No doubt the SPFL have other priorities like leaning on clubs to get the old firm off the hook when it comes to liability.

They should be given the tickets they were promised.

If the SPFL had issues with Fans sharing the same stand, then they shouldn't have promised them part of the Main Stand in the first place. It doesn't look like they've thought this through very well.

People are in different positions financialy, i still find it hard to belive that out of 20 000 eligible, less than half have purchased a ticket when availability is very limited.

If myself, my mates that i go to games with and the wider group of peopke i know who attend are anything to go by, I'd reckon a huge proportion of our fans are paid weekly. Which although it doesnt make people waiting to get paid at the end of the month before buying implausible, id still expect tickets for a game of this magnitude gone already.

St Johnstone put their tickets on public sale on the 9th of January, and before that they were available at 2 per season ticket holder. We haven't even had a public sale yet, it's still only one ticket per person until it starts, and there's not many areas we haven't already sold out (going by online availability). No need to get our knickers in a twist. If I remember correctly we only took 6,000 through to Hampden for a midweek League Cup Semi final vs the old Rangers (before the new club was formed) and put them out on penalties.

What a night that was.

Plenty of time to sell out our allocation.

I think the biggest problem is the one per person rule. Some folk will be giving it a miss cause they're not sitting beside their mates/kids.

Come the general sale a few folk may buy cause they can get tickets for them and their kids etc. Added to that, surely tomorrow we will see all the day trippers that only go to semis and finals.

As of 5pm there were 2000 or so tickets left though the biggest stand is sold out. That means we have sold 9500

That's strange when there are only 5 small sections available. Even if they were completely empty (and that won't be the case) that would be 1800 maximum. Who says there are 2000 left? If they don't sell out by Saturday after two days general sale we can worry about our lack of support.

It will sell out eventually (or all but).
In 2007 I seem to remember picking up tickets only a few days before the game, and we were probably favourites to win the competition last time by the semi final stage.
It's definitely the 1 per person that slows down the sales. I know I'm waiting till tomorrow so I can sit with a larger group.

Not according to the official stadium map. 7 of the 10 sections in the gorgie stand are sold out and all but 2 sections of the main stand are sold out as well. No way can that add up to 2000 unsold! we will get a better picture of real demand tomorrow.

I feel our fanbase is not as high as a lot of us would like to think. Had this game been at Hampden I`m sure we would have sold more than we have at present, but the factor behind that is that for a lot of casual fans, a boozy day out at Hampden holds more attraction than one at Tynecastle. We have a good sized fan base, but there are varying levels of serious interest. I know Hibs fans who enjoy a Hampden day out but are not that keen that they will head to Easter Road or away from home at any other stage of a season. Not a problem unique to Hibs of course.

Agree, and if we get to the final we would struggle to sell our allocation if they did the same. A vast proportion of the crowd at a final is made up of family groups. If it's one ticket each, you can forget all the wives, girlfriends, dads, brothers, pals etc who don't have loyalty points but go along with season ticket holders to these games. Yep, exactly. Some people just don't want to attend if they can't sit together which is fair enough. This should have been open to season ticket holders/high tier loyalty points and then a general sale IMO. The whole having to assign tickets to an account thing is a farce. Many people, including myself, just buy tickets for family/friends through the one account to go.

It depends who we'd be playing. If it was celtic then we'd get circa 20,000 tickets and it would be likely 2 per reference number sold in waves no doubt. If it was Ross County then we'd get around 30,000 tickets and it would probably just be a general sale from the word go. All irrelevant at the moment though, lets take care of St J first though.
