I'm not saying it wasn't, I'm saying some folk may just feel goals are needed. Myself I'm happy with 3 points but that wasn't a good game as very few chances were created but I think we'll hit form again soon.
Teams normally have dips in form over a season, and as long as we keep winning while not playing so well, hopefully the goals will come when we are back on form.

Last season there were any number of complaints that we weren't digging results out or winning ugly like Hearts were doing at the time. We won, that's all that matters right now.

That's what I'm putting this down too. If we can still win while not exactly playing well and get through it and back to how we were before I'll be happy.

I thought it was a pretty poor game of football today, and felt the atmosphere was very subdued as a result. The important thing was Hibs got the three points though.
However, the issue of goal difference is important bacause, as things stand, The Rangers are essentially four points clear of Hibs. But that's not the only thing. The longer a game stays at just 1-0 the more and more likely it becomes that teams are going to steal a late equaliser, or worse, and that could end up costing Hibs very dearly. We've seen that happening at ER before.
I just feel Hibs are not scoring enough goals.

Fyvie every time for me. I thought Bartley was like a man short today. He is very poor.
Matter of opinion, I reckon Stubbs prefers Fyvie but I my opinion Bartley does that role better.
He's faster, stronger, and is willing to get forward. He's not there to dictate tempo or control game but as a midfield enforcer at the base of a diamond he's definitely solid. He also had a shot on target today!!!

Fyvie is a better player in my opinion, it's obviously easier to look good at home to Raith than it is away to Rangers though.
Fyvie has been off the boil for a few weeks now.
In a diamond I'd have Bartley over Fyvie as I don't think Fyvie pressures his man enough, Bartley did this well today.
If we had 3-5-2 and had three midfielders I have Fyvie in there but he's not a defensive midfielder.

I thought Henderson was much better today.
I wonder if that was because Bartley was playing?
Sometimes it seems like we have too many players trying to create.
Bartley taking a back seat and leaving it to the others might help this.
We won today after a sore defeat. I will celebrate that rather than looking at a negative.
You keep talking about negatives, well here is a real negative, based on the last three or four games lets hope Jason doesn't have a blip or you or I won't be celibrating at all.

We are never going to peg that goal difference back, today was all about the result and getting back to winning ways.
What about the goal difference with Falkirk, who are 3 ahead of us right now( in goal diff) ?
Do agree though that a win was essential and that is our minimum target for most (all ) games.

We will finish well above them by the end of the season, goals won't make the slightest difference where they are concerned in my opinion.

No they're not the are 3.5 points ahead. If we take 4 points more than them we win the league.

IMO immaterial. It is going to be the hun, us and Fawkirk as top 3. If we don't finish top it makes no difference to me if we are 2nd or 3rd.

I would gleefully settle for winning every game 1-0 from now until the end of the season. Maybe I just lack the ambition of some others......

Sure, but what I'm really driving at is if at the end of the season Hibs and The Rangers end up on the same points, they will go up on the strength of their better GD and Hibs would face the play-offs again.
Hopefully it wont come to that, but it's a possibility if things remain as close as it is at the moment.

Aye but it doesn't matter if the goal surrender is 5 or 500, for more points than them wins is the league.

Sevco had the league 'sewn up' a couple of months ago so to be so close now is a good thing and we shouldn't be worrying about goal difference, if it comes down to that and they are still 20 ish better than us then they deserve it more than us.
IMO it would be better if we score more goals, not because of goal difference, but because we won't be able to win 1-0 every game. At some point we would end up losing a late goal despite being the better team.
No issue with our progress to date but don't want to leave ourselves open to a late sneaky goal that costs us 2 points. I do believe this is our slump and that we will be back to scoring a few more soon.

It does. It means an extra round of playoff games.
