A giant of music is no more.
Given his lifestyle, I'm amazed he almost made the big 7 - 0.
Sad news nevertheless.

Saw Motorhead live on several occasions and enjoyed every one.
Favourite memory was when a girlfriend decided she couldn't take any more after about half a dozen songs, so wanted to wait in the car. I gave her my jacket so I could get down the front, only to realise five minutes later that I was in the middle of Glasgow in just jeans and a t-shirt and she was away with my wallet, credit cards, house keys, car keys and mobile. Nothing else for it but to stay put and hope the car was still there when the gig finished!

Gutted. A total legend in rock music. How he made it to 70 is a total mystery. I am currently making tea with some very very loud Motorhead being played. RIP Lemmy

I love Motorhead. Awesome band who inspired many (such as Metallica), drew their audience from across the spectrum (metallers, punks, rockers, straight types) and never ever sold out. Despite Lemmy's health starting to decline over the last couple of years they produced two very good records in Aftershock & Bad Magic. Well worth checking out.
Lemmy was a really intelligent guy who respected his audience and never suffered fools or took any ****.
I'll really miss them.

Really loved his "What's Yer Thing" and "She's turned the weans against 'es" sketches.
A sad loss to Scottish comedy

Eddie Clarke, the last surviving member of Motorhead's classic line-up, has died at the age of 67.

That's very sad. Had the pleasure of seeing that line up back in the day. What a sound for three guys!

Went to see them as a 12 year old in 1982 at the playhouse, my ears were ringing for a week 😂 No idea if it was the original band at the time? Still like to blast out a few tunes now and then to the mrs dismay 👍

Was just reading a piece he wrote in Classic Rock magazine talking about Malcolm Young. FFS it's getting mental how many of my rock heroes are starting to die off.

Rock 'n' Rollers never die. They just move to Elvis's big band in the sky.
