13th October, Mowbray success attracted interest from various clubs and he resigned to join West Bromwich Albion.

Mark Proctor and John Park, took over temporary charge.

31st October, former player and fans favourite, John Collins was appointed as the new manager despite have never managed before.

8th November, Collins’ second game in charge was the League Cup quarter-final against Hearts. Hibs captain Rob Jones headed home the only goal of the game.

30th January, despite speculation that both of Hibs successful midfield combination of Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson would be leaving the club in the January transfer window, only Thomson left to join Rangers for a fee of £2m.

18th March, after beating St Johnstone in the semi-final of the CIS League Cup at Tynecastle, Hibs took on Kilmarnock at Hampden, two goals each from Abdessalam Benjelloun and Steven Fletcher and one from Rob Jones saw Hibs win the cup for the third time with a 5-1 score line.

April, stories of player’s unrest were reported in the press.

16th May, despite Rangers, Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton all wanting to sign Scott Brown, Celtic eventually signed him for reported fee of £4.4m.

Hibernian Ladies beat Glasgow City 5-1 in the final of the Amicus Scottish Cup they also did the double by retaining the League Championship. In the league they won all 22 games, score 115 games and only concede 17, a record that will be hard to beat. They however lost the final of the Premier League Cup 4-1 to Edinburgh ladies.
