Quite happy with this. At least not CT or Gollum. Just hope any big decisions are called correctly and the game is the talking point, not the referee.

The Ex Rangers season ticket holder.

Ouch

As long as its not the cheat we cant complain. Hopefully he's got the balls to call the big decisions as he sees them, as the new rangers fans will be on his back from the first whistle.

He's a decent ref imo.

Very poor ref but pretty much all of them are.

At least with Madden or Collum we know that the mistakes are simple incompetence that could favour either team.

As good as we are going to get IMO. Notice he gave a pen at Parkhead on Saturday for Motherwell so not afraid to make a decision.

Which confirms the statement above that he is an ex Hun season ticket holder ;-)

IIRC he gave us a pen v Hearts when Lewy was brought down - some refs would have turned their back as the ball was going out of play. He correctly gave us the pen.

Decent guy, no issues at all with this appointment.

Yup, booked one of them (walker perhaps) for diving in the box in the same game.

That will do for me. Same again please. In fact 1-0 would suffice.

Hopefully he's not afraid to make the big calls. If we start to frustrate rangers the crowd will start to get on their backs and will put massive pressure on the ref.

Play like barcelona and win 10-0 or a scrappy 1-0. either will do me!

Madden is, in my opinion, the best ref in Scotland at the moment. Allows the game to flow and will make the hard decisions despite outrage from fans.

Having said that I've probably put a curse on him now :greengrin

Aw JB! - been hoping to stay positive on this one but my worry is it will be cometh the hour, cometh the man, Craig Thomson had to break ranks just enough just once for the yam and I had to witness it, and in Bobby Maddens career in the goldfish bowl that is Scottish football this could be his moment for his allegiances to shine through.

Will review the situation after full time.
