Little pity for him.

I notice Chris Sutton was on the list as well. I rally hope this doesn't result in him doing more shifts at BT Sport

Awful report..."Old Firm stars who have went bust"....

That aside, others who are or have been directors of the same company:-

Derek Whyte
Paddy Connolly
Barry Ferguson
Gordon Durie
Michael O'Neill
Tosh McKinlay

There are actually 40 companies with a similar name. If i fall out with the family over Christmas, I'll dig out any other newsworthy names :)

This is what kicked things off:-

He used to be his agent. Was with him when he moved from United, IIRC.

Not sure if he still is.

(Violas don't ring a bell, BTW. They pluck a string.)

Not a huge amount of sympathy for those making an investment which is only designed as a way to reduce tax. If you are earning enough that £1.2 Million tax is due then you don't have to be avoiding or evading it in the first place as you are minted. Tax for the rich is as low as it has Footballers earnings come from fans either directly or indirectly and many of those fans will have suffered as a result of the reduced tax revenue and the resulting austerity. I have no sympathy for Starbucks, Amazon or Boots so I will show none for footballers or any other profession who try one of these schemes. The higher tax rate is pretty much at a historical low so I fully encourage HMRC to go after all that evade or poorly avoid.
