A plethora of eye-catching matches tonight, but I fully expect a home win at The Gallagher Stadium where the weekend's Pub League heroes have a tough clash ahead.

Probably a decent crowd there, too.

Tuned in for City v Gladbach tonight.

Can see United v Wolfsburg being a complete snooze fest.

Interesting City line-up with no Bony so it's a false 9 for City with Touré, Silva, De Bruyne and Sterling operating in attack and Fernandinho alongside Delph in the engine room. Clichy in at right back as well so we will see how he copes tonight on the biggest stage.

With family down in Manchester, all of whom are huge City fans, I'll be cheering them on tonight.
Let's see how it goes!

Its good that most of the games in the champions league tonight have something to play for. Usually at this stage the last games are dead rubbers

As the Wolfsburg goalie is Swiss, that's all that is on here in various languages.

Great block from Fellaini, at the wrong end.

What a huddy he's mostly been for Man U.

2 goals in practically as many minutes. Extraordinarily pish marking for the Wolfsburg equaliser

Terrific goal from City!

Sterling with a beautiful backheel and Silva smashes it home.

Monchengladbach started well but City have looked a lot better in the last 10 minutes or so. Good game in prospect here.

Went to last Man City home game in Champions league. Got sent an email. Tickets were 20 quid tonight and see the crowd is very low. Poor really.

Not full night I went either.

Agree mate.

They have a loyal fan base of hardcore fans who follow them home and away but sadly, a handful who only turn up when it really, really matters. Think it could've been a sell out had they needed to win to qualify.

Been a very open game so far anyway! City without Kompany are shambolic at the back. Clichy is rank imo

They've changed it to most competitive.

Which is strange, because with it being a competitive league they should be skooshing it.

I mean that's all that's holding Celtic back right?

City good going forward.

Otamendi is a classy player but looks lost without Kompany.

Mangala and especially Kolarov and Clichy have been awful defensively.

Not enough from De Bruyne though so far.

How unlucky were Juve, morata should've had a hatrick and dybala rattles the crossbar from 25 yards, just as City go 3-2 up. Not much between City an Juve but on another night Juve win that comfortably leaving City another Barca or Bayern again.

Fine margins, some night.

LVG is living on past glories. His teams are one dimensional and if it wasn't for the fact that no one team has been consistent in the EPL this season they would be mid table. Its horrible football to watch.

Who has he let go?

Nani, Van Persie, Kagawa, Rafael, Hernandez of the top of my head.

Falcao end of loan.

The Hernandez move in particular stands out. Someone who was good enough for a loan to Real Madrid and since moved to Germany and banged them in.

Scored goals at United under Fergie so strange as to why he was deemed "surplus"

Edit. Danny Welbeck another forward thinking player was let go.

GreenOnions

United had a few chances tonight but Wolfsburg had several more than that and could easily have scored four in the first half alone.

I'm still trying to work out how you can spend £250m+ on transfers and still have a first choice defence including four out of Darmian/Valencia, Smalling/ Jones/ Blind and Rojo/Shaw.

These players are all good footballers but none would get anywhere near the starting 11 of any team with a serious intention of getting to the last four of the Champions League.

Although United seem to have quite a number of quality attacking players LVG doesn't seem to have any proper centre forwards apart from Martial who is only 21 (I think) and inexperienced.

It looks to a lot of people I reckon that LVG has not spent the right amount of money on the right areas of the team and now he's blown a fortune on players and his team still could easily have lost five or six goals tonight.

Di Maria the only obvious one surely. Falcao hasnt really cut it elsewhere and Henrnandez was a sub even when Fergie in charge. RVP finished and who does Rafael play for?

LVG has spent a fortune...and even after all that its the "rubbish" that Moyes bought that are playing most games.

PLayers that we also sold - Cleverly and Evans would walk back into that team now. Kagawa is light years above the current Man U midfield.
