Two St. Patrick’s Branch members Bobby Sinnet and Ian Colquhoun have recently published a new Hibernian FC book called ‘ Hibernian FC On This Day: History, Facts, & Figures for Every Day of the Year’.they were in attendance St. Patrick’s last Branch meeting. Joining them at the Q and A was Ted Brack the prolific writer of several books on all things Hibernian.

Hibernian FC On This Day revisits the most memorable moments from the Club’s rollercoaster past, mixing in a maelstrom of quirky anecdotes and legendary characters to produce an irresistibly Hibernian diary – with entries for every day of the year. From Hibs foundation as a Club from Edinburgh’s Irish community, through to the SPFL era, the Hibs faithful have witnessed triumphs, promotions and relegations, breathtaking Cup runs and European nights – all featured here. Timeless greats such as Joe Baker, Eddie Turnbull and Pat Stanton, Gordon Rae, Franck Sauzee and Derek Riordan loom larger than life. Revisit 18th March 2007 when Hibs won the League Cup at Hampden. 27th September 1972: The 6-1 demolition of Sporting Lisbon at Easter Road! Recall 1st January 1996 and the unforgettable 4-3 Scottish Cup win against Celtic on 8th March 1986!

Ian Colquhoun is a lifelong Hibernian fan, a historian and author whose other titles cover military history, historical fiction, true life and social history. Bobby Sinnet is the author of The Hibernian Miscellany, a founder of both the Hibeesbounce website and the respected ihibs historical website at fitbastats.com/hibs.

Ted Brack has lived most of his life in Edinburgh. He retired in 2007 after serving as a Head Teacher for thirty years and has written several excellent Hibernian FC books about the greatest of the Hibee Greats, many freelance articles for Hibs fanzines and other publications.
