Will be there with 2 others. First trip to Cappielow and looking forward to it - old-fashioned terracing and a big Hibs support.

Dunno about that, it's an uncovered area with bench seating.

Ah right, I thought it was terracing for some reason. I guess folk will stand anyway.

I don't think anybody ever sits down on those benches, as it always rains in Greenock

I fancy this one. Haven't been to Cappielow since about the time The Bay City Rollers were all the rage.

Shang a Lang.

I think Sauzee was playing last time I was there. I think we tried him out at sweeper instead of midfield. Worked out okay.

Well their manager had convictions for kiddie fiddling so it is not out of the question?

Did Clydebank play their home games at Cappielow the last time we were in the First Division? I remember it seemed like we were through there all the time.

There and Firhill. We had Hamilton and Partick Thistle to play at Firhill.

I'm in Galway that weekend for a family gathering. Disappointed that they didn't feel it necessary to consult the fixture diary and note that this coming weekend is blank before confirming date.:grr:

The Bankies were using Dumbarton's old ground Boghead that season, truly like stepping back in time were those visits :greengrin

Of course they were.

Bloody hell, that hovel Boghead made yesterday's facilities look cutting edge.

Was there another team other than Morton playing at Cappielow at that time though? I'm sure I remember going through there for a midweek game that wasn't against Morton. I had a wee night out in Glasgow after.

I'm positive I remember my mate who is a Morton fan giving me directions to get there by public transport. If it was a Morton game he'd have been there.

Both Clydebank and Ayr utd have used Cappielaw in the past. Must have been one of them.

I plan on going to this game. Hope it is a decent turnout and that it's dry, considering it's uncovered.

I hope it's dry as well, I can't take a 5 year old girl to a game if it's pissing down no there's no shelter.
